Information
Taps has straight flute thread taps, spiral flute thread taps, spiral point thread taps and thread forming taps. They are also classified into hand taps and machine taps according to the usage.
Hand taps are operated by tap wrenches. Machine taps are suggested to be used with the tap collet with overload protection, and hand use or electric drills use is easy to cause breakage to the tap.
Taps are prone to chipping or breaking due to speed overload or non-vertical tapping. Use the correct tapping tools, such as tapping wrench, tapping machine.

Recommended feed rate: General steel: 6-15m/min; harder steel: 5-10m/min; stainless steel: 2-7m/min; cast iron: 8-10m/min. Tips: The torque caused by too fast feed speed is too large, which can easily cause the tap to break.
Micro taps (such as M1-M3.5) are mainly used in clocks and watches, as well as for making holes in wood and soft metals with lower hardness.

Drilled into my adult scooter because I’m a man child. Bought a second hand electric scooter from a wizened old coot. Should have checked out the handle bars cause they were loose! Enter drill and tap system. Got’r all spiffed in a jiffy thanks to these bad boys! Bam! Forgettaboutit! Worth the money!

I had a standard set and needed to drill and tap an M5 hole in aluminum. This worked as well as I could hope. There was no noticeable wear after use.

Very poor quality. Tap broke on first use and this was with me being extremely careful with it. I do not recommend it.

This tap went hard doing 10 (1/8 inch) holes in steel and 20 (30 cm) in cast iron. I recommend buying set of tap socket set they make life so easy.For the tap:I feel like I got my money's worth but sad that it broke in the cast iron. All the signs were there... it was getting tight and just popped. The tap shattered into 4+ razor sharp almost of self guided missiles that are aim straight at my eyes... heard a click off my safty glasses and was happy I wore them.Drill Bit:The drill bit is meh. I like plain high speed steel over "one time sharp, long last drill bits" . I shapened the drill bit 3 times in 30 holes.

Tap broke on second hole in stainless steel and obviously rendered the part useless.
