I bought more of these as they seem to disappear in my kitchen. They work well to keep your opened wine (or other types of beverage) bottles from going bad.

I started using this method to keep wine for a longer period of time. Remove the air, the wine will be preserved for a bit longer. I have done so to keep a bottle for several weeks, seems fine to be, though I don't pretend to have an educated palate. My wife and I drink different wine, so a bottle opened may not be fully consumed in an evening.Anyway, I had a vacuum pump and 2 stoppers. I bought these so I could have more than 2 bottles with stoppers at a time. These seem to be very universal. Then the vacuum pump died and I got a new one, and these work with it, too. I don't know the brand(s) of the pumps offhand, but suffice it to say, they are pretty universal and will work and it is helpful to have a few extra around.

These work exactly as advertised. They allow a bottle of red wine to last much much longer after opening than just putting in a regular stopper.

Bought as replacements and extras for my vacuvin. They fit snug, are reasonably priced and keep my wine tasting fresh for 1 week plus. Easy to use and made of sturdy rubber.
