Bought for my mom for Christmas. I was worried from some of the pictures, but it appears now that it comes with the lights already wrapped around it and the base of the glass is very secure with foam. Everything was sealed in plastic wrap. Came exactly how it looks in the picture. It is decently big.

It is beautiful, but VERY DELICATE. Putting the lights around the flowers lost 2 petals and it wasnt easy to get the effect in photo. I wish it was already all together as this is a gift. I ended up buying another because two of us trying to make it perfect damaged it.

I accidentally found this item on Amazon and decided to purchase for my wife on Valentine's Day. She loves it. When this is shipped, it comes in a keepsake box. It was very well packaged. The lights are do-it yourself, the LED string is wound tightly around the rose for shipping.It does take a few attempts to get it to look as it should - the lights spread out in the glass holder. If I can give any advice in making this easier, try to wind the LED lights in a way they start toward the top and work your way back down and repeat around the rose. There really is not a right or wrong way. I would suggest just not to wrap the lights too much around the rose, the glass will take care of most of the form. Then just carefully place the glass back over the base.The lights do not not appear to get too hot. We run ours usually for a couple of hours in the evening. Using the LEDs continuously (24/7) I would not recommend just for reasons of possible safety as with most electronic lighting. We received the USB corded model, which is quite convienient to have a easy to operate switch without disturbing the base. Overall we are very satisfied with this purchase - a year round gift that keeps giving.
