This is what you need if you have a fish(Koi) pond, never use a spring loaded check valve as any debris plugs themThis was and works perfect

I installed one of these on my pond filtration circuit and found it to be effective and reliable in keeping the pump primed during downtime. The valve occasionally collects debris that prevents the flap from closing fully but this is easily fixed with a jet of water from the feed side.

Working flawlessly so far. Using it horizontally for a washing machine drain to outside of house. Previous owners of the house must have had a blockage in the walls, so had a plumber extend it to outside of house to drain into back yard. We discovered that when doing laundry it was somewhat flooding the area around it. I dug an extended trench adding twenty more feet around corner of house where ground slanted downwards to the street at front of house. It is working great so far. With the one-way clapper valve it keeps bugs & varmints from entering the drain pipe.

Appears to be a good product. As description notes, no spring to close valve, thus proper orientation is critical to function in any but a vertical application. Consider installing with a union at each end, which also allows easy cleanout/maintenance. Flapper hinge appears to be rubber or fabric, durability is unknown. Unions again would allow easier replacement.

This valve burst for us in under a year of use at 60 PSI. The entire mid section came apart and not any of the PVC cemented connections. Hopefully I just had a bad one. I highly recommend monitoring your water situation with something that will alert you if your plumbing bursts and you are spilling out 50GPM like I was. Was able to shut everything off within 5 minutes fortunately. I really did like the transparent viewing of the valve. But be careful of transparent PVC and sunlight. You will get algae if there's light, so best keep it away from sun except when actually coming to view it.

I purchased this Check Valve back in Dec 2014 for $15, it just failed this past weekend. At first I was a little upset, but it was 8 years old ($1.90/yr), it certainly didn't owe my anything. Here's how it broke: The Valve is made of two parts (one is a big suction cup) that part broke off, so not only did the valve no longer seal, but that suction cup would occasionally block the outlet so water would NOT leave the system (which required me to manually unplug/replug the system).Like I said though... it was 8 years old!

Replaced a back flow valve on my pool. Had the same model for over 10 years before it finally started leaking back.. This has been on my pool now for about 6 months and still works very well. It is almost clear but I can see the flapper inside and see that it is working as made. Being clear enough to be able to see if something does get into it to keep it from completely closing is a great plus for it.The price is very good on it and much better deal then getting otr ordering it from your local swimming pool supply store.Just make sure when you install it that you do have to top up so it works correctly.

Upstream of the chlorinator you will need one of these so the chlorine doesn’t migrate back to the heater and rot it out. Glue joints and simple to install.

Used as a check valve between my heat pump and my chlorinator. Works like a charm.
