Your cart is empty.This type of slide gate valve was originally designed for the Pool & Spa Industry to hold higher pressures compared to the bolted versions. It is typically used to hold back Above Ground Pool, Hot Tub or Spa water while the filter is being changed or maintenance is being done on the pump but has many other applications. It has a one piece (body and fittings) UniBody configuration which is made from polyvinyl chloride (PVC). It can be used in any application that requires less than 75 pounds per square inch (PSI) of working pressure and is in an easily accessible location as it is not repairable. Easy push pull operation; locks in the closed position and comes with a gate keeper to hold the valve open. These slide valves are sometimes referred to as “knife or guillotine” gate valves and are a great alternative to ball valves in low pressure applications since they are full flow and quick opening. This valve is designed for use with clean water. The handle is threaded for easy replacement – if you do so be sure not to damage the valve shaft. The Valterra 2101X Unibody gate valve has 1-1/2" Schedule 40 female slip/hub fittings with solvent cement glue traps to help prevent solvent from leaking into the valve seal area. The fittings receive 1-1/2" pipe. Its shaft is made of 304 stainless steel; the paddle material is polypropylene (PP); the seals are made of thermoplastic vulcanizate (TPV) for dimensional stability. All materials resist corrosion and mild chemicals. It has a working pressure rating of 75 (PSI) in both the open and closed positions. For throttling or mid-flow closure (closing the valve while water is flowing) the maximum pressure rating is 15 PSI. The maximum temperature rating for the 2101X is 167 degrees F (75 degrees C). For applications that hold back static water pressure see the “Static Head Pressure Chart” to determine the water pressure based on the height of the water being held back. Please note: Paddle is slightly smaller than opening to ease opening/closing. Valve seals cover any gaps and ensure no leaks.

I know this is not the correct way to fix this bc it’s just a band aid but these work great for pool sand filters that leak out of the backwash pipe. The slim profile allows for applications that require a tight fit also. Just inform the customer to always open the Valtera Gate Valve before they backwash or vacuum to waste. Do Not use on commercial pools bc it’s against state code.

Replacing an old gate valve. This one is very smooth and holds water perfectly. The other ones I have used rely on a very tight fit when closed to lock shut. This uses a quarter turn to lock. So you end up with a very smooth action.

I harvest my shower and sink water to water my trees. My home built irrigation system doesn't allow me to trickle water and evenly distribute it to the trees. This floodgate however, allows me to store the water and dump it all at once ensuring that everything gets an equal amount of water as I had designed. Before this device, I had issues with bugs building up and clogging the pipes. Now, they too feed the trees nutrients with a heavier flow of water. The unit is easy to install and operate.

Utilizo na casa de máquinas da piscina, muito mais eficiente e durável que as válvulas de esfera produzidas no Brasil. Além de serem mais fáceis de manobrar, as válvulas de esfera duram aqui no máximo 2 a 3 anos pela ação do cloro, esta última que comprei foi para substituir uma que já estava instalada a mais de 6 anos. Existe também um modelo com para fusos, onde é possÃvel trocar as vedações internas, mas está difÃcil de encontrar, assim como as vedações. A Amazon poderia investir um pouco nisto.
