These Van Heusen pants for boys are very nicely made and true to size.The fabric feels like it is high quality. My son wears size 8-10. The waist is not adjustable. The size 8 fits him perfectly in the waist, and the pant legs are a good length. I was able to purchase these on sale, and the price was great for the quality. These will work well for church, a piano recital, or any other formal event he attends.

They fit my son perfectly. Little long but atleast he can wear them next year as well. The price is great for the kind of material. I struggle to find good fitting dress pants for him all the time but I will definitely be ordering again

My son is almost 8, but has a large Polynesian build. It's super hard to find clothes for him that fit. These pants were only slightly too long in a 10 husky, and fit around his waist. Very comfortable. Most of the husky clothes we've tried still don't fit him right, but these were near perfect.

My son is pretty skinny and wears a 16 regular in izod brand. The 16 regular in this he couldn’t even button and was also small overall, not just in the waist. We ordered a 20 so we will see if that’s way too long or what. I’d say size up at least one, if not 2, sizes!

This pant is a 16 and my 13 year old wears lots of different brands - all 16's. The length was good and the overall pant seemed good but the waist was so small, there was at least 2 inches between the ends of fabric, never mind doing it up. Not even sucking it in and hiking it up could he get them to touch. He's average size - not hefty but not slender. I asked to return it and they said no problem - full refund. Since it's a sizing issue on their end (as I used their guide), I asked them to pay the shipping to return and they said yes. Super happy with their service.

Our lesson from trying to buy formal trousers for our son is that it’s better to do it in person. The sizing is all over the shop. Returns are too expensive to be worth the hassle. Bought one and it was too small. Another and he’s swimming in them. Costly lesson. Won’t do that one again
