I’ve been getting Vandoren reeds from Amazon for a while now (the Wise Music store near me doesn’t sell them), and they’re good every time. Vandoren reeds just last longer and sound so much more smooth on both sax and clarinet compared to other reeds I’ve bought in the past. I recently started playing clarinet as an alto sax so I made sure to try out both size 2 and size 3.

These reeds are a staple for my daughter who plays the clarinet for school. Whenever she needs more, I have always just clicked repurchase on these because they are very reliable and priced right. Over the last 2 purchases (maybe 3...) she had 1 reed that wasn't the best and she sounded like a goose....but other than that, they have been great!

I have been buying this brand of reeds for years. When you have children in band, they tend to be hard on their reeds. You need a good quality reed that will last and produce excellent sound.If you are a new band parent, do yourself a favor and keep an extra box in stock at home. Your child will tell you they broke their last reed right before a band contest or performance. You will also be a hero to other parents if you have extra reeds.
