Bought this for all the wrong reasons, had a abalone inlaid pickguard that would only fit a dreadnought. Turned out to be a guitar with a superior sound. Very glad I popped for it, and the abalone inlaid pickguard looks great on the black finish.

Bought this for my dad for christmas. He is 70 and has arthritis. He has never played guitar but wanted to try to keep his hands moving. This is very pretty and comes with everything you need. He was very excited.

The unopened box was unimpressive, not gonna lie, but that is not the company’s fault. I guess it didn’t look big enough to fit a full size guitar, so for a second I thought that I had gotten scammed, not to mention how terrible Amazon delayed the package multiple times. (Again, not Vangoa’s fault) One look at this guitar fresh from the package and I fell almost fully in love. Almost. Everything is absolutely gorgeous, but if you’re looking for a heavy-duty heirloom hardwood guitar you should plan on spending somewhere above at least $350 I’d say. This one has an interesting wrapping around the wooden frame, like a sort of paper-wood vinyl, not paint or gloss. The rosette is flat when you rub your fingers across it, a party of the “wrappingâ€, so there’s no switching it out unless you lay a sticker on top. But not that I’d want to anyways. I also found the tuning pegs to be a little bit weak, and this made it somewhat difficult to tune the thinner strings. I even popped one because I could not easily determine how tight I had wound it since it kept “slippingâ€. Overall, I think that I got my money’s worth, and it is a beautiful and decently crafted instrument. It plays pretty much as well as my cousin’s $500 guitar, and I have no regrets in purchasing it. It comes with a tuner, but I find that it seems to glitch somewhat after a while. It also has four picks, a tiny strong capo, a large cleaning cloth, a strap, and a pack of strings. Each one of those things I have needed and am very glad they were included! I think this guitar is very unique and beautifully colored (I went with green), and the green is not forest green, but more of a dark teal. I like to refer to it as my “project†guitar, so I’ll be changing and adding a lot more to turn it into a stunning piece of work. Excellent job, Vangoa, you survived my honest opinion! :))

Very happy with this purchase! It's a beautiful guitar before and after personalization. The sound is beautiful, was easy to tune! I am happy with the case and all the accessories! The color varies based on the lighting I would say it's more often a dark teal but sometimes gives a dark green color which is perfect bc teal is what I was hoping for.

I ordered this guitar not to play it but to have autographed by some popular artist I have play at my venue I received this guitar very fast no issues took it out and to my venue and the artist I had at my venue tuned it autographed it for me said it’s a great guitar so I highly recommend buying this guitar…

My daughter pucked the teal one. It arrived much darker, but the color is absolutely gorgeous! Besides the color being off, everything else was as advertised. It was packaged very well also. So far so good 👠I'd definitely order another

Vangoa makes really good acoustic for the money and I'm not sponsored or anything. Compared to the beginner fender acoustic I started on, these are amazing. Not all solid but more solid than a lot of name brands (you can tell from the smell, these smell like wood, I'll admit they smell like cheap wood but I'll take cheap wood over laminated flooring as far as 'huggabilty comfort' which is a major factor in guitars)These just smell authentic. They smell a bit piney+mahog+cedar and sprucey, which makes sense and I've camera photographed the interiors of a few of these with an action camera, so I know the inside is ..Built way better than expected! At this point vangoa isn't even leaving glue blotches on the braces, good interior and exterior sanding...they go all out.There are two negatives I'll give all vangoas..They don't have 'fretboards and inlays and rosettes' it's all stickers, and painted on binding- it feels smooth though, and the neck profile is GREAT for playability- and the frets are SUPER low but you could call that an upside because...low frets mean you can set the action fairly low and as long as you have break angle you won't have much buzzing.Higher jumbo frets can have jumbo problems on cheap guitars so I get why they do this but ppl should know. SHALLOW frets, like super duper small frets. And the fretboard is basically a printed decal..not really but might as well be. It's very dry walnut that you can't oil so....that's a thing ..I'm fine with it but you may not beIncredible guitar for the price not just for beginners. I hate cutaways and this is a great LOOKING non cutaway acoustic!;Beautiful looking, beautiful sounding. I'm probably putting a $70 transducer in it to amplify which is frankly better than getting a cheap acoustic pickup installed on the new vangoas.My recs for pickups are journey instruments and amumu. If you want a volume wheel, the journey is the only good sounding choice, and you'll need a preamp pedal running behind it, but they sound great.

Pros- Truss Rod; I’ve seen budget guitars without this. I come from a dry climate and as such have had to adjust my guitars. It’s a deal breaker if you need one and don’t have it. Just be careful. It can take days for neck to settle even after minor adjustments- Fretwork was good. Didn’t notice any sharp edges. I wouldn’t say it was buttery smooth but great for the price range.- I didn’t notice issues with the binding or scratches in the wood.- Tuners were decent. Didn’t have any issues- Tons of accessories including a case. None of them are so great or so poor that I’d call them individually. Other than the strings they are pretty close to what I’m already using.- It sounded great and I found it really playable. This is the most important factor. No budget kit is worth it if the guitar isn’t good.Cons- I’ll switch the strings, but if you are starting out you won’t be picky enough to careIt’s a great time to play guitar. Lots of great instruments at a fraction of the price they once were. And this is one of the better price friendly guitars I’ve tried.
