I purchased this for school and travel. I was amazed at the quality of the product based on the price, and I underestimated its size. It is roomy, holds many items; it also has an expandable zipper. It is bulky because of its size. Persons who only carry a few items like books and laptops can purchase the size below 17 inches. It can be used for travel, everyday office work, and professional duties. The quality is excellent, and it looks professional. The bag is also sturdy; it does not limp over when standing.

Just got a new 17.3" HP Laptop for my work and needed a good carry bag for it. Was drawn to this one as it had one feature that many do not: the ability to expand. There are times I travel overnight and need to pack light and this intrigued me. Upon arrival I pulled it out and was impressed with the material and workmanship. It looks nice and professional. Two of the zippers seemed stiff but running them a few times loosened them up just fine. Not too heavy (which is important as these 17" lappies can weigh quite a bit, but I like the extra screen space!). Lots of pockets for work 'stuff' of different sizes and the lappie fit in just fine: not too snug and not too loose. I read that some think there should be more padding; however, this one seems quite similar in padding to the many I've had over the years. As I hoped, the unit is great as it came; however, the ability to expand makes this an even better buy as you get a lot of extra room for things which would allow me to basically turn this into my carry-on for those quick overnighters. I also love that the shoulder strap can be removed as many similar units for sale don't have that feature. I'm giving it 5 stars for durability and sturdiness as it seems quite capable to the touch and is sewn together well (no threads or missed stitches, etc. The handles have a leatherette covering over the fabric that seems nice; however, I'll be watching it as I prefer just the hard-sewn fabric as sometimes material like this drys and cracks too easily. I'll update if things change; however, for the price, seems like a great buy and I hope it outlasts the laptop and can, like my previous one, go for at least two cycles for me.

Just got today, impressive so far. Good packaging and was a day late, but great it is. It took all my cords an 2 laptops. 1 being 17.3 with ease. Zippers feel good a well padded. And I haven’t even expanded yay!! So far so good.

This bag is very well made. It is great for someone like me who has to bring papers back and forth and it has pockets to store items like pens and pencils and a bigger pocket for cables, adapters, thumb drives, etc. It is even expandable, but so far I have not had to expand it.

So far it's a nice bag after 2 weeks. As you can see from my review title, the shoulder strap has metal clips, which is a must for me, from past experience. Good value, seems sturdy.

I have been using my case for a few weeks already and just love the many features it has, with pockets, zippers, pen holders and dividers. Even though it is simply a soft sided brief case, I know that I haven't used all its features yet. It is very durable, and the materials are high quality and look professional. I use it to carry books and papers for our Bible class and it really works well. If I were a working person, I would be proud to have something like this to carry to work.

This replaced my old Victorinox briefcase which isn't made anymore. I like the quality of this bag and for the price it feels more expensive.Time will tell how long it will last but it has pockets galore, plenty of room for books, folders, pens, rulers and anything else you need to carry for work. I'd recommend it.
