The Nylon/polyester braid line extends up to 100 feet, allowing you to draw lines even over long stretches. When you do not require a straight line, the chalk reel can also be fashioned as a plumb bob. By fitting the chalk line with a 6:1 gear ratio, you can more rewind the line 6 times faster compared to speeds without the 6:1 gear ratio. An ABS case with durable steel handle finishes off the chalk line, and creates a chalk line that lasts even with extended use and reliably performs up to par. Included is a 4oz bottle of blue chalk.

The product works well, but if you haven’t used one before, read the instructions, they work as well as they did in the 1960s. Good value for the money.

I bought this chalk box based on price, and probably should have paid a little more. It was built with a very thin string that does not come out very easy... and does not hold the chalk like the old cotton string I used years ago. It does give a nice crisp line, but struggled with it trying to get the string to come out of the box every time. Maybe it's just training this old dog a new chalk box trick??
