Compatible 12 – 24V Vehicles
This hardwire kit accepts voltage from any type of vehicles runs on 12 – 24V, works perfect for car, truck, bus, suvs, or big rig for continuous power.
Low Voltage Protection
Smart low voltage protection automatically shut off the power to your dash cam when the battery voltage drops to 11.6V(12V cars) or 23.2V(24V cars), thus preventing it draining the battery.
Find the Correct Fuse Slot
Open the fuse box, find the correct fuse slot for your hardwire kit. If you need to find an ignition switched fuse, put the key in the vehicle, find the fuse which is not lit up while the car is off, and test it by turning the car on to see if it lights up. If your kit requires constant power, turn off the car and remove the key to see which fuse slots stays lit on.
Connect the Red Wire and Yellow Wire
Once you've determined which fuse slots you need to use for your hardwiring kit you can crimp the red wire of your hardwire kit onto the Add-A-Fuse. Gently remove the fuse you identified. Install the fuse you just removed into the installation kit add-a-fuse circuit. Plug the add-a-circuit into the fuse box in the correct orientation. And the Yellow should be connect to the ACC.
Ground the Hardwiring Kit
Slip the black wire (which is in the shape of a C) under a metal bolt or screw in your vehicle (this is the ground wire). Check that it is not attached onto plastic parts. You will typically need a socket wrench to loosen the nut or bolt that you choose to ground with. To attach the grounding terminal, loosen the nut or bolt enough to slip it in and tighten it back up afterwards.

This hard wire kit was easy to install once I was able to determine the hot side of the fuses in the panel. Volt/amp meter a necessity. My install on my SantaFe was smooth and works well. It has a battery saving shut off that automatically shuts power if your battery health goes below either 11.4 or 12v. You choose the level with a simple switch.

I’m using this product over one month now and I am very satisfied with it. It was very easy to install for me. All that I had was to do is to run the wire and then it came with different fuse to match my vehicle. I had just compared it with the fuse that I had before and use the one that matches.ðŸ‘😆I love the parking mode. Our vehicle got hit about five time before while parking. Now we feel more at ease, knowing that there is a camera that view the vehicle 24 seven just in case that somebody decided to hit it at least we have it to show on camera.

Works. Did have to get a 6' extension wire in order to reach to the back of a Honda Civic. Would imagine a larger car would require at least same if not more. Otherwise. works fine and hookup was fairly simple.

Nice kit for the money. Ive installed cameras on all the vehicles in our family and used this wire kit. Easy to hook up, comes with several fuse sizes to cover all your possible applications. The wire is plenty long enough to cover just about any installation as well.

When I ordered this hardwire I thought it was going to be complicated to install so I called around electronic shops and asked how much it cost for them to run my wire. They said $120. Well after really looking at how to install to fuse box in my 2021 F350 king Ranch I decided to do the job my self I just took my time and ran cable where it’s no show anywhere. Ran rear to front through passenger side. Very easy to install. I used slot 5 on my fuse box because that’s always hot when truck is off and the ACC wire to slot 37 on fuse box.One thing. Make sure when connecting the pigtails to the wire, do not over push the connection because it doesn’t make contact. You will see what I mean. It goes in and locks in right away but I over pushed one and was not turning on when truck was off. Simple little fix. I just don’t know my own strength.

Now that I have this installed, I consider it an essential add-on. I used my N3 for years without this kit because I was nervous about tapping the car's fusebox, which I had never done before. Now that I've installed it, I only wish I had done it on day one.Compared to running the cable for the rear camera, installing this kit was a snap. It took me less than 30 minutes, and it looks so much cleaner than using the 12V DC unit and trying to hide the cable running into the dashboard.The only caveat is that you will need to do a little research on your car's specs. The included instructions and online tutorials are great, but because every car's fusebox is different, you will need to figure out the best spots to tap for power. That said, I had never done anything like that and I managed to get it right on the first try, so it's not hard if you do your homework.

First off, I've been using Vantrue products and recommending them to fellow motorcyclists for some time. Namely, the Vantrue F1, which is an awesome well thought out and reliable dashcam for motorcycles. I decided to upgrade my 11-year old trusty 1080P antique that has been bulletproof and reliable all this time except for battery changes. The N5 is my first Vantrue automobile system. I thought I would get the same performance and reliability I got from the F1. I was wrong.The festivities began after I did a perfect and neat install. Everything hooked up properly and secured. Setup was easy and straightforward. All complete and ready for testing. This is where things started to go sideways, the camera would NOT shut off when the ignition was turned off. Yes, the yellow accessory wire was hooked up to the switched fuse and power did go off when the ignition was off, but the camera still is running. After my testing, I am confident it is a defective hard wire kit. So I tried to call tech support only to find out they have no listed phone number, but they will call you back after you fill out the form. I did and no call. I did get an e-mail the next morning asking a single question expecting an answer for what I had already provided. I never heard back from them again. So I just went ahead and purchased another hardwire kit and tested it prior to installing it. IT NOW WORKS!!!Come on guys, you knew this has been a constant and persistent issue with these hardwire kits since mid-2023 and you're still selling them and providing abysmal support for them. I've done lots of research about trying to resolve this problem on my own. I'm highly disappointed that Vantrue would ruin their good name over a $20 accessory to a $400 dashcam. Please rectify this issue for the many people suffering with it. I will not recommend any Vantrue dashcam that requires the hardwire kit.
