I bought this whistle to attach to my PFD for kayaking. Bought a Fox whistle that didn't work at all. Decided to try this one. My dogs ran from the room. It's LOUD.As with most (all?) whistles without a ball, you have to put your lungs behind it. But when you do, you will deafen your neighbors. And yourself. You WILL be heard.It comes with a nice long lanyard. I attached that to another lanyard inside my PFD pocket. nice long reach so I don't have to blow on a whistle clipped in my armpit or shoulder strap or someplace else awkward and unreachable when you really need it.It's titanium, so I expect it will outlive humankind.If I lose it or something, I will definitely buy another.

Everyone should have one of these. If you have a Mother, Sister, Daughter, Girlfriend or Wife or children, or all of the above, you should get one for each of them. In an emergency, you will be glad they had this small whistle. Light weight and loud but a little too expensive. If you need a way to communicate over a distance or Ina loud environment this is very useful. Also good for emergency kit. Only negatives is the price and the necklace is rough on the neck but it is easily replaced.

For under $10.00 you get a solid titanium whistle. It's so light, I keep having to check my pocket to make sure it's still there. I attached a 60 Lumen Tis ThruNite (got on Amazon) to the included key ring. Perfect little rig ! a bright little light and a great noise maker. I would recommend either wearing the whistle or attaching it to a key ring, or you will most likely lose it, it's that small and lightweight. You also needn't worry about setting off any bells and whistles, (no pun intended) while going through metal detectors as titanium is antimagnetic. I am going to purchase additional whistles for my Nieces and Nephew.

I wanted to have a whistle for everyday carry, on my keyring. This fits the need precisely. I have a decibel meter app, on my phone and tested this to 100 decibels. I recommend this if you want an EDC whistle in case of emergencies.

Very light but sturdy. One part is plastic inside and that thing is the only one that bothered me. The cord that is given with it is good color but i have this ting on q titanium necklace in my neck all the time but in work (safety first). Thank God i didn't hand to use it in emergency yet but it it always with me. The red cord is not the best if you plan to wear this thing in your neck all the time like me. It is plastic and can give you rashes and cut you when you sleep. Or you take it off... I am very happy that i found it and it is made out of titanium beckause i planned to wear it all the time and with this material it is doable beckause it is antiallergic. Good product.
