Good product, threads were fine in the 1/2-in size. The gasket inside is some sort of edpm or rubber. As a note to Brewers, you would want to change this out for silicone

I don't know if it's just this unit or just how they come but it is not 3-in standard pipe thread. It will not thread into other couplers I've purchased or 3-in steel or PVC.
