First coon I caught bent the trigger plate and the trigger rod. They need to use a stronger metal. I must say that the seller contacted me a few days after I sent in my review and that helped my feelings. The problem lies with the manufacture and not the seller. They offered me a refund.

This trap is garbage. Don’t waste your money. It isn’t sturdy enough to keep animals inside it. I just trapped a raccoon I have been trying to catch for months, and I now realize why I haven’t been successful. The animal keeps getting out between the side of the cage and the door. The trap is so flimsy that the animal just pushed itself between the door and side and it bowed enough so the animal could get out. I wish I could return this thing.

Metal trap arrived on time & was easy to set up with NO tools! Caught 3 Racoons & 2 Possums the first 2 nights. One Bull Racoon tried it's best to tear up the cage but it stood up to the abuse & is set & ready tonight #3. I followed earlier review's suggestion to zip tie the front & back panel frames to the cage which prevents an aggressive animal from kicking the front or back end out. Painted black is also good. Easily folds back up for storage if desired. Racoons have been climbing atop our pool cage & using as a trampoline causing damage climbing up & down so this is already a great investment. Recommend for sure.

Caught a squirrel that I wasn't after but I finally caught the raccoon I was after. He was contained for about 4 minutes then pulled the door open.Doubt he'll be dumb enough to fall for this again.Oh well.
