I've been working in Masonary for a very long time. Needed a new Brick hammer and found this one on Amazon. Works very well sturdy and much better than any other that I tried.

All around great hammer. I use this as a multipurpose hammer around the house and yard (e.g., detail digging for stepping stone placement). Also for occasional camping use since it works for hammering tent stakes as well as "grubbing" when needed. Not sure the wood plug in the head does much, but it looks good.

I work in the masonry field and was always a estwing brick hammer kind of guy. But I decided to buy a Vaughan just to give it a try and it definitely has changed my outlook it was cheaper then a estwing but in my opinion the same quality and you can never go wrong with USA made tools!

My only complaint is that the rubber handle gets caught up in the holster. I'd like to see this hammer with a leather handle that slides easily into and out of a holster.

Great hammer, but the handle was a bit too small. I wish it was wider, as I'm used to a wooden, thicker handle. Other than that, great.
