String tension caused metal of this tailpiece to bend very, very slowly so that my strings kept going out of tune- every 5-10 minutes, just a tiny, tiny bend and the strings are out of tune (flat) again- so even if it's a millimeter at a time you could have problems. This seems likely a design flaw. Most tailpieces take that stress mostly longitudinally- even a hinge, which adjusts to the angle due to free movement. This, however takes all that stress at almost a right angle and the metal isn't strong enough to resist it. I can actually see where the metal is bending if I look at it from the side. Very disappointing because now I may have to fill/cover screw holes in body when I replace this.
