Very different feel, dead blow hammer (2 1/2 lb) does the heavy flattening etc. Smaller hammer good for smaller more precise hits. Nicely made. Try ‘em!

Only one is a dead blow the other is a solid but for price I guess I should have expected it.

Got this set to have a “dead blow ball peen” basically a ball peen hammer with shot in the head sadly this one doesn’t have that feature it’s a ball peen with a super comfortable over moulded outter case the dead blow itself is well made and does everything you would expect it does the job and for the price point who could ask for better I gave it to my father for use with his wood working projects as he didn’t have a dead blow I did have one myself already and although it wasn’t exactly what I was looking for it’s still a hard hitting hammer set that is incredibly easy on the hands the way the ball peen is built is solid and sturdy as is the dead blow great value that’s for sure
