Didn't feel like going to a lumber yard so ordered these and had them delivered. They are as good as any other 2x4.

The wood is fine but that tight cover on it took me about 8 minutes to get off. (material was like a kitchen trash bag) I couldn't use a razor as I would cut the wood. There were multiple layers of this. It was a real headache. Maybe there had been complaints before about the wood being scratched. Well, you sure solved that problem.

The only reason I ordered here and overpaid by 6x was for my convenience. For the price (and by the picture) I totally expected to receive "Premium" clear Douglas fir! Well, I just opened the package (past return date) and what they sent me is warped and Im pretty sure it's knotty pine?!?I ordered 3 overpriced boards @1"x3" and all 3 appear to be knotty pine?? I ordered 1 overpriced board @2"x4" and it was actually fir... but not "premium" or clear like the picture showed, It's full of knots. I was happy to overpay for convenience, not so much now that I've received the product. Very very disappointing!

48 inches isn't really much to work with. It is good for making workbench legs and low horses though...
