This is the first soft rooftop carrier I've had (I've had hard shell carriers before). I will say that this is a durable, well built and well designed product. The instructions are clear and the ability to work on just about any roof is amazing. Also the quality of the engineering and design of the entire product is amazing.The reason for not giving five stars is that with these products (not this one in particular) is that they have to be filled completely (even states so in the instructions to use bubble wrap, etc). I find this a detriment if you only need to carry a few items. The other reason is that it is a bear to refold this and get it back into it's bag. I do appreciate that it does have a carry bag, but remember how it is folded so you can get it back in bag.Realistically, if you have enough to fill one of these say for a long trip, they are a great product, and this one is built real well.
