I'll give this company props on how this product is packaged and shipped. It came well-packed and protected and secured with bubble wrap and secure straps. I also liked the genuine wood frame. It's the design of this product that I have issues with.First of all, all the "extras" they provide, are cheap junk that I just threw away. The markers were thin and smudged, the chalk hardly left a mark on the chalkboard, and the magnets were weak. You'll get far superior products buying name brands like Expo or Crayola. The board was your basic melamine surface. I do like how they added a protective coating of plastic to protect it while shipping, but the reality is that this kind of plastic laminate invariably end up discolored with ghosting and streaking only after a few uses, especially if you you don't erase it right away after each use. As other reviewers have noted, the plastic protective cover is a pain to remove as well; you'll likely end up with little bits of plastic on the side like I did.The worst "feature" of this easel was that it used a single, unsightly plastic knob to control both the height of the whiteboard and how the legs. I'm sure some product designer was very proud of combining all of these features into one, but from a practical perspective it's terribly awkward to try to adjust the height of the board and having the legs collapse, or vice-versa.I also don't like how they advertised that this was suitable up to age 14. I'd say it's maybe good up to age 7 or 8, but after that this becomes really short for most kids.I'd say this is probably good for toddlers and kids up to 3rd grade. But don't expect very long use out of it.

I am normally one to open/use and fully experience a product prior to reading other reviews but this easel was an exception because during assembly I was SO FRUSTRATED that I could not get the plastic covering to remove from the chalkboard side. The white board side peeled off with little issue but the chalkboard side was a whole different story. Like others have mentioned I have to agree that it is an absolute pain to remove, impossible to get started and seemingly a different material than on the other side. But alas, IT DOES ACTUALLY COME OFF and can be peeled in large sections, you just have to tediously get it started and then be sure to take your time.Beyond that, the easel itself is exactly what I was hoping for with some really great features! For starters, I love that it has both a chalkboard and whiteboard side AND comes with a starter set of supplies for both. Great color assortment for the markers and a multi colored pack of a really unique chalk - it is almost wet to the touch and writes really smoothly (great for me who doesn't love the sound of regular chalk squeaking). The assembly (aside from the plastic removal) is super straight forward and quick and easy. Feels very sturdy once up and in place and angled how you would like. Very simple to adjust the height of the board and angle it back and forth depending on which side you are using. Super convenient to have the tray on the bottom to hold supplies,We chose to discard of the provided magnets because it was hard to tell how securely the magnets were adhered to the back so we opted to remove the risk of choking versus waiting to see how they held up, but in place of these I use a big chip clip on the top of the board to hold paper so the easel can also be used for painting and drawing with crayons etc.

Hard to maneuver. Stand hard to open and board hard to manipulate to a tilted position.

So fun for the kids to draw, erase, and play with magnets on. What's nice is that when the kids inevitably mark the frame, it's easy to wipe off. The stand is easy to fold and tuck away and easy to set back up as well! I recommend!

Perfect size for toddlers. It's made of durable materials and holds the easy very steady. Easy to put together too. It's great for ages 1-3. For older children I would get a taller easel.

My 7yo loves that this easel is double sided with a dry erase board and chalkboard, it’s adjustable in angle and height and works well on a tabletop. But it is somewhat flimsy with only semi decent workmanship. The adjustments for height and angle don’t stay in place very well and the board always falls down or changes angle with any pressure applied. Fun to use but I fear it won’t last long without completely breaking.
