I received the package in somewhat intact condition but was fearful of damaged contents. Surprisingly it was minor. Some bent shelves but that was easily remedied with a pair of pliers. Instructions include: parts inventory and a 3 steps assembly instruction. The illustrations are not that clear. You need a strong sense of logic and some WD-40 to put it together. Assembled finally, it is very sturdy and serves its purpose.Note: I was able to do it myself as an elderly retired librarian.6 months later - My original intent was to replace cookbook shelves since I reference cookbooks a lot.I needed something very study and mobile. I have had a library book truck by my side through out my career and I figured why not one at home. It's been perfect plus I use the back side as extra shelving.

The packaging for this cart was unequivocally the WORST I have ever encountered; because of that the mounting flanges on some of the shelves we bent and made the assembly process an absolute nightmare that lasted over 2 hours.Once the cart was assembled, I was delighted with it. It rolls very nicety thanks to industrial grade casters. Now I can keep frequently used books near my desk when I am writing and researching.I would have given 5 stars if it wasn’t for the disastrous packaging.

For a product that requires only minor assembly, nearly every threaded bolt hole was painted over resulting in cross threading on all but a few of the small hex bolts that hold it all together. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

I write books and use books. Books were all over the room, the other room and the house. Looking for them was really annoying. Suddenly – enlightenment: I need a book cart. I've bought it. Yes, it's not a small piece. But now I have all sources next to me, easy to access, easy to find, easy to use. When I do not work, the cart is in the corner, barely visible. I am happy, but my wife is in heaven!

It’s not a cart from Demco, but it also didn’t cost $900 including delivery. I wish they would just be up front about the scratch and dent condition. I knew from reviews what I wasn’t getting. It was a bit difficult to put together- directions are useless, some parts were bent. Definitely not one that patrons will see because all of the cosmetic damage, but I think it will serve well as a back office cart.

We returned it. It came missing pieces. Had to bring it to a ups store. It weighs over 50 lbs and was difficult to rebox
