This is a simple and effective tool to make maneuvering your kayak or canoe a whole lot easier.It's a game changer to easily transport the boat and all your gear to the water. I haven't tried it on soft surfaces yet.This cart store ultra easily and even fits into the storage compartment (trunk lol) of my kayak.The strap for securing the boat seems kinda tricky to use correctly, but it's actually quite simple.

This kayak cart works great on smooth terrain. It might not be as good over rough terrain. I've used it on pavement and mild dirt trails without issue. It folds and disassembles quickly and easily to store in the aft waterproof compartment of my 12 ft kayak (Wilderness systems).My only negative is with the system of strapping the cart to the kayak. There really isn't any system. You have to just sort of figure something out. I tied a single overhand knot around the rear crossmember at one side so that the buckle end reaches across the kayak almost to the other side. The bitter end goes under the front crossmember, up over the kayak, back under both crossmembers, and up to buckle. You can lift with the strap once it's through the buckle to tighten it up. If it's too loose it doesn't tow well and if it's too tight it pulls the crossmembers back into the folded position and won't tow at all. Put the kickstand up and you're ready to go. I set it up about 2/3 aft. Too far aft and you're carrying most of the weight on your arms. Too far forward and the balance and weight is good but if your near 6ft tall the aft end can scrape. This is because it's only got 8" wheels and it's low to the ground. This makes it less efficient towing the kayak but of its much larger it might not store and you won't be able to take it with you.You'll figure out what works pretty quickly. Sure beats carrying it on your head. And you can load up all your gear so there's only one trip to get to the water.

We have two. One for the inflatable kayak and one for the inflatable SUP's. I can stack a couple and strap down for the long walk from the car to the dock. I can put a couple small full coolers on as well. I definitely recommend.

A little difficult to get it under in the right place... think about it... this is supposed to allow you to enjoy your kayak by yourself but it can get difficult to get it on right alone. You need to lift the kayak up and shove the cart under to the area you want it.(this is a pain in the butt because the cart doesn't sit flat unless you push the other side down so the cart goes in place) it like to collapse by itself... now trying to strap it so it doesn't come off is nearly impossible because the strap in the middle of the cart is the only area for the strap to strap onto. So you have to wrap the strap around the legs and then cinch it down... they give you only 1 strap so now when you move the kayak, the legs tend to collapse a lot. So I added another strap to the other set of legs which did help a little but you won't be able to traverse any terrain that has rocks or cracks because the straps slip on the kayak and when the tires hit any obstruction (rock, crack, twigs etc. the straps move which then in turn makes the rack move and collapse... I have a fishing kayak and probably weighs around 110lbs with all my gear... ok for a simple kayak but not if you have a fishing kayak..

I cannot seem to keep the kayak on the wheels.I am not understanding how to strap the kayak to the wheels and have it be secure.It isn't readily apparent in the instructions, or with their strap mechanisms.

For an inexpensive kayak cart, this unit works fine. The negative is that if not installed just right, the cart wants to collapse.

The spec suggested it could be used for paddle boards too but in reality it can’t . I can’t comment on kayak use.

Ich benutze den Wagen um mein Rz85 vom Auto durch unwegsames Gelände zum See zu transportieren. Ohne den Wagen unvorstellbar das fast 5 Meter Boot alleine durch den Wald zubekommen. Man sollte jedoch drauf achten das Boot gut auf dem Wagen zu sichern sonst klappt der Wagen zusammen und der Ärger ist groß. Angekommen am Wasser lässt der Wagen auch gut verstauen die Räder sind leicht zu demontieren um noch mehr Platz zu sparen auch das Gewicht ist durch das Aluminium Gestell schön gering gehalten.

El carro se ve muy resistente, pesa poco al ser de aluminio y plastico, pero su amarre a la tabla de paddel o al kayak es complicado al no disponer de elementos para una buena sujeción salvo una simple correa la cual es muy dificil de amarrar correctamente y que las ruedas queden estables y bien sujetas al kayak.
