This unit is an excellent reasonable cost unit that delivers. I’m pleased with its power and performance and expect it to last significantly longer than the lower cost unit I previously ordered that lasted only 2 years before the magnetic base started failing and I ended up burning the unit up.

I've never used one of these before, but this tool exceeded my expectations. This is a fairly good tool for the price.The bad:One of the quill-feed handles refusing to thread into the hub. I cleaned up the hub thread with a 10mm tap. As others have said, the manual is absurdly bad. A completely useless waste of paper and ink. And one minor nit-pick; It did not come with the Allen wrench for the spindle set-screws. The coolant tank and delivery tube doesn't supply nearly enough oil to be of value. I used a 6 Oz squirt bottle to apply cutting oil as needed.The good:I've drilled ~80 holes in 1"+ steel and it has performed surprisingly well. The cutters are decent as well. I After 60+ holes with the 16mm (5/8") and it cuts nearly as good as the first hole. THe motor is plenty strong to drill aggressively with a 20mm cutter.The quill-feed handle is reversible if you need to work an tight spaces. The unit is fairly tall. My application required that I drill between the flanges of a W16-77 beam. It worked well, but I don't think it would fit in-between the flanges of a 14" beam.All in all I'm pleased with the purchase. It did what I needed for less than renting a Milwaukee. No regrets.

Assembled and put on steel, easily bored holes, no problems. Way easier and safer than free hand drilling.

the manual that comes with this tool is the worst most ridiculous one i have ever seen, and i have looked at many. you can't understand this paperwork from start to finish. you would think that the people that own this company would hire people to write their material for each country they are going to market their products in. if they can build a tool like this, then they could figure out how to hire someone that could write something understandable. there are parts to this thing, like the lubricant pot, there is no instructions even mentioned regarding it, or what lubricant to put in it etc. how can people run a company like this and send out material like this to their customers that is useless. what a joke.

This is a good drill for the price. I did put loctite on the adjustment screws and the handle. I drilled 3 holes in my 1/2 in thick steel table with the bits that came with it and I'm extremely happy with this drill.

Drilled a couple of holes in 12†c channel with it out of the box. The 4th hole the magnet quit working and spun around before it shut off. Boxed it up and sent it all back before I lost a hand with it instead of just bruising it.

Used it to drill 10 3/4†holes right out of the box and did it in under 20 minutes; a feat that used to take 10 minutes per hole now only takes 60 seconds.Setup on the drill is straightforward and just plug the coolant line in without cutting it so that at full extension it has enough line to not bind. I shortened mine and had to replace it.Use water based lubricant on HSS annular bits and coolant on carbide not in the instructions...Lastly the rack and pinion for vertical movement has a extra slack between up and down and when starting a hole if there is any slack it will skip.Jason D.
