This is a good starter kit but before melting you should get a good set of lifting and pouring tongs. The corner of fire brick was broke but that’s nothing the crucible had a little manufacturing damage on one side but I cured it to bright orange and slow cooled in the furnace and it went thru 4 pours no issues bearly showing any use

Either I'm doing something wrong or it doesn't work as described I'm gonna run out of propane before it melts. Don't buy it. It's a fun idea but waste of money

((REVIEW CHANGED))All you really need to statt melting things as hot as copper. Works great and cheap. However can't give it 5 stars because my regulator died after about a week's use. It took some time but working with customer service we got it figured out with a new one sent to me.

The furnace works good, but needs a little Rigidizer, so order some at the same time, wish I would have, the crucible cracked after 12 pours, tried to get it replaced but the company would not replace it and took a while to get a response from them it was a pain in the ass dealing with them, but other then that the furnace works great, I used Simwool Rigidizer to coat the insulation after I used it a few times, it was worth the $15 dollars I paid.
