1) Assemble the doorbell and thermostat along the wall from the socket without existing doorbells or wires. Easy to install and able to set up in minutes.
2) Connected through a doorbell transformer, it is best to use it together with the product battery to maintain operation even in the event of a power outage of 120.
3) The doorbell transformer does not have a battery. AC120V main power supply is required.
4) The doorbell transformer can only supply power and cannot charge the battery.

My Ring doorbell operated on a rechargeable battery. Power adapter being connected to it means I don’t have to recharge the battery any longer. I’m at this home only 5 months a year, so when it went dead, doorbell didn’t work. Solar charger isn’t made it and it isn’t in sun at all.

Installed this with a new ring wired plus doorbell. Has a very long cord and plug adapter as well as circle ends that you can put right through the screw for install. Perfect fit and powers up the ring flawlessly. Much better than the battery and solar setup I had previously.

Good price, working well now for six months without issues.I have the main unit in the garage with the wire routed to my Ring doorbell on our outer fence. The cord length is great and at a length we were looking for. It also had easy-to-attach terminals at the end of the wire.No issues. Transformers remains cool and have not had any problems. Would recommend this unit.

It definitely was tough getting the cover back on, in fact it's not quite on all the way because the wires won't allow it to push far enough closed. But it's working, so that's what matters I guess.

I ordered this power supply due to the reviews I’ve read, and I got tired of charging the Ring doorbell every week. Once I received the power supply I made sure that the Ring doorbell was fully charged at 100%. I plugged it in three days ago and the percentage is down to 41% when it supposed to be charging. I will be returning this item.
