I bought this because my wired doorbell shorted out and my ring was being drained way to fast. We hooked this up and ran it up the side of the house and it works great and looks great. No more taking the ring off to charge.

This makes a previous doorbell or a transformer unnecessary. Just run the wire and plug it in and never mess with removing the thing to charge it again.

Dont buy! Doesn't work. Plugged it in.and no power. Trued to install after 1 month return period so can't return it. Piece of crap. Don't bother trying to return it; you get no help from Amazon on this one.
