Lacks a proper manual. The remote overview explains some of the button functions. The mode layouts, and corresponding remote button are on opposite sides of the instruction sheet so they're a pain to reference.Power, 'Set', and 5-9 buttons on the remote do nothing. The 'Fun' button is not documented, but cycles through resolutions on outputs. In my tests they are: 1280x720@60, 1920x1080@60, and 3840x2160@30. The rotate buttons (1-4 on the remote, and the four on the unit itself) just rotate 180-degrees each time they are pressed. If you get no output try the 'Fun' button as it may just be set to 4K output and your display doesn't support it.Unused outputs do some weird things. For example in 1X1 mode the display will be shown on all 4 outputs, however the rotate 1 button rotates all 4 outputs, and they can't be rotated individually. In 1x2 mode (image is spread horizontally across displays 1 and 2), outputs 3 and 4 each display the whole image, but do not respond to the rotate commands. Other modes are similar with the unused outputs displaying the whole input image.Despite supporting many 1xN and Nx1 output modes it doesn't actually support input resolutions that would scale nicely. You will always end up with your standard input resolution scaled to fit whatever mode is chosen.== Internals ==Inside there's not much to see as the chips labels have been lasered. We have a two chip solution. I was able to just decipher the label remnants, and the main chip as Macro Silicon MS1826B. This is a multi-function video processor, 4 input, 1 output. The microcontroller is a HDSC HC32F460 (32-bit Cortex-M4 ARMv7 CPU).The HDMI ports have locations for ESD protection on the differential pairs, but they were left unpopulated.

Continue to cut out and you have to keep unplugging and plugging back.

I tested this Video wall controller with several Samsung monitors and they showed a message that said the resolution was not compatible. There is no EDID adjustment. I was able to successfully get a picture by using a different 1080p only display and projector. The remote on this unit is not well labeled and the manual must be cross referenced to understand what the buttons do. After you get it set up you are not likely to change the settings often, but it is not very user friendly. The unit has some power lights on the back, but there is no indication lights on the unit to tell you what mode it is in, and pressing the remote buttons doesn't give any feedback. When you are getting an output picture, there is a small box of yellow text in the top right of the screen that tells you what mode you are in. Picture quality was good and haven't experienced any lag or screen tearing. This video wall controller doesn't have any 'bezel correction' as far as I can tell, so that means that the image will be offset by the amount of your screen bezels and might look odd. Some VJ software can correct for the bezel offset. The unit is made from metal and feels sturdy. This seems like a good value for a video wall, but you might have display compatibility issues and depending on what you are trying to accomplish, consider if the bezel offset between displays will be an issue.

This controller has been a hot or miss. It dies drop video at times. The instructions/manual guide could be better

While the Video Wall Controller HDMI 1X4 offers an array of splicing modes and seems promising with its professional processor, my experience has been marred by occasional audio dropouts. The video functions admirably, providing clear and crisp displays with the 180-degree rotate feature, and the variety of splicing modes add versatility. However, the intermittent audio disruptions undermine the overall performance. Whether in the 1x1, 1x2, or any other splicing mode, the unreliable audio quality detracts significantly from the product's effectiveness. It's disappointing to encounter such issues, as the potential for an excellent video wall experience is overshadowed by the inconsistent audio performance.

i got this hoping to build a video wall out of some older 1080p TVs that i have, but unfortunately it doesn't work. No matter what the resolution of the input device, the output resolution is 4k to each display. I only have one 4k TV at the moment, and when i connected it, i was able to see the picture that I expected. i guess i'll just have to tuck this one away until i can get four 4k displays to properly use it. It has been my experience with other HDMI switch boxes and similar items, if they are listed as 4k, they also support other resolutions as well....not this one.the user interface isn't very intuitive either. there is no indicator to tell you what mode it is in. you can cycle the modes with the button on the front, but you can't see what the mode is other than on the displays.the power cord is also very short which can make it difficult to position.
