Selecting a light bulb with the exact color, wattage, lumens, etc. needed has become increasingly difficult. So a vendor who provides detailed information about a product makes the selection easy. Kudos!

I prefer halogen bulbs over LED bulbs. Halogen bulbs match the color temperature of the lights in my house, especially when dimmed. LED bulbs are, at best, 2700 K and do not warm when dimmed. Yes, I know that Phillips makes a warm-on-dim bulb (Warm Glow but it's a standard diffused light and doesn't look quite the same. I don't know about longevity; they say only 3000 hours with 5000 on/off cycles.If you want an LED that matches the color of these halogens, including how they get warmer as they are dimmed, check out the Phillips bulbs.

The companies that make the long neck halogen bulbs with a nice warm/golden color temperature seem to keep going out of business. Bulbs burn out at my house, and when I need to replace them, I come back to Amazon and seem to go through yet another round of ordering many different brands of bulbs, trying to find something that will be-halogen-long neck-PAR30 shape-with an E26/medium base-dimmable-with a reasonable diffuser so you don't burn your eyes if you happen to glance up at the bulb-glows with a nice, comforting *golden* (not harsh white) color (e.g. 2700K)I tested only one of these Vinaco bulbs from the 6-pack, but it worked well. (I can't report on longevity at this point.)So far, these Vinaco 60 watt 120 volt (75 watt equivalent) bulbs seem to fit the bill--everything I look for in a halogen bulb for our ceiling canisters. Aaaahhhhh....
