I loved the one I bought for my Bach Strad Trumpet so much I bought another to protect my Yamaha Flugelhorn. Keeps me from having to clean tarnish all the time. The one thing I did find was that if you use this and have a valve guard around the valve casing, it will cause tarnish build up in that area.

As a trumpet player with a shaky financial situation in college, I'm not able to buy a new trumpet. This bag has helped keep my current one in good shape, and I can tell the difference it's making with my horn! Great bag, also good if you have a gig bag and wanna keep the fuzzies off!! Buy it, it's worth it!!

I was excited about the product. When the bag arrived, I was still excited about the material and protection it would offer my horn, but then saw the zipper.Unfortunately I will need to alter the bag to be able to safely use it. The bag fits my Bach; great material; however the zipper is a huge concern. To prevent the possibility of scratching the horn, I will need to remove the zipper. Can the bag have velcro or similar material to close the bag vs. a zipper. I have never rated any product with Bach under a five. Please address the zipper.

The bag does a great job of providing added protection for my silver-finish L.A. Benge and helps guard against tarnishing. The zipper always made me a bit nervous, however. Every time I would slip the horn out of the bag or put it back in, I had to take great care because the zipper could have possibly scratched the finish. I solved the problem by removing the zipper by its stitches and simply tucking the bag underneath the horn. I purchased a similar but much larger bag for my flugelhorn and solved the zipper problem the same way. Just fold the bag over to help seal up the horn inside its hard case and there are no worries.

As far as I can see, this is a very good product. I cannot speak to its ability as a tarnish inhibitor because I have only had it a couple of weeks. As far as protection, I think it is absolutely fantastic! The zipper is made of nylon, so I do not see how it can scratch the finish of a horn with just a little bit of care.4/12/15 update- The bag still works fine; no scratches, no regrets.

Item was what was described in the listing however the zipper actually scratched my trumpet two different places on the bell. I had to manually remove the zipper and now the bag works fine.
