I read tons of reviews of different ribbon, worrying about whether or not the “new†ribbon I would get would be dried out. I went ahead and ordered this one making sure it would fit my typewriter. I had zero issues getting it installed (and that was my very first time installing new ribbon on a typewriter, as I am very new). The spools are taller than my spools that came originally with my machine and I thought I was going to have to re-spool to my original spools, but that wasn’t the case. Obviously that’s still an option, but this ribbon went in perfectly and has functioned flawlessly since. I do not have a case for my typewriter so it sits out, and even with the house being on the drier side due to it being winter, I’ve had no issues with the ink being dry or not showing up well. Very good deal and I’m pleased with my purchase.

I would NOT recommend this item. It is pointless to make effort to buy a new ribbon if it is dried out! This is the tester page after fresh install. The ribbon is on correctly( re-rolled onto original vintage rollers as the plastic ones are not ideal)This is very disappointing as it is quite inconsistant..too much so. I would understand if this were a USED ribbon.I am not happy with purchase :(

Though I was very happy to find typewriter ribbon for my typewriter, I was kind of sad at how quickly the ink from this particular ribbon ran out. I honestly hardly got any typing in. I don't know if that is because of this particular type of ribbon or if it was just this particular stool by itself.
