The holed paddle is good for stirring. The holes allow it to move through the pot and also allow the ingredients to mix while being stirred, unlike a spoon.

Perfect brew paddle. Spatula has the right amount of give. Had some rough edges which I was able to smooth using the sharp edge of some scissors. Long enough that I don't burn myself brewing.

I got this paddle because it was cheap and used it for about 8 batches that used around 9-12 pounds of grain for each. Used along with my 10 gallon Clawhammer system and this thing bends like crazy when exposed to heat. I switched to a long wooden spoon and it worked much better. Does not break apart dough balls well.Will work for cold applications but do not use if you’re planning to do an all grain brew.
