- Do not heat rivets in hot water. Insert the rivets to straps AFTER you pick up straps from the boiling water.
- If the rivet is difficult to insert to holes on frame by thumb pressure, use a rubber mallet or hammer to tap it in.

- Heat the vinyl straps in boiling water for 3~5 minutes prior to use.
- Wear thick waterproof gloves and protective goggles to handle.
- Once the strap is removed from the water it cools quickly and become stiff and difficult to stretch into place, so bring the pot to your work area to limit he time the straps get cool.
- Do not use the heat gun to soften the vinyl strap as it may melt the vinyl if it sit too long in any one part of the strap.
- When pulling vinyl in place, stretch it well beyond the rail to give enough slack to attach the rivet. It will tighten as it cools. Use baby powder on straps if your have problem with strap sticking.

The directions could not be any betterWow ! 1,2,3. done. I only replaced one strap on the chair seat. Because I live in Arizona where the temp gets 110 on average sometime much more. weather is tuff on patio chairs.Probably a lot more good suppliers, but this material is top of the drawer.,

I wanted to keep my lightweight aluminum chairs with table on my deck because it's easier to move them around when cleaning. I've spray painted the chairs and added these straps and they are as good as new! Very pleased!

Be sure to measure and precut the strap for the chair and pre drill the holes and attach one side before stretching the strap to the other side. Make sure you soften the strap in hot water and wear gloves when stretching across the chair frame. Better to use another person to hold the strap in place, taught, while you drill through the strap and frame for attachment. Pre drilling may not work since the strap may increase in length to much after heating.
