Very nice shirt with pockets. Very soft. Form fitting. I intend to wear this shirt over my bathing suit when it's cold in the pool.

I bought a different style of rash shirt on Amazon last year that is a bit thicker polyester and feels more like quality polyester swimsuit fabric. This one is thinner and feels more like a polyester jogging shirt. Also, the "thumb" hold is merely a piece of cheap elastic, and not even stitched in as securely on both ends. Since I ordered this to use in a chlorinated pool, it's questionable that the elastic will hold out well for swimming laps.I had a difficult time deciding how to rate this since it is not what I had hoped for. The price is $10 less than I paid for my other style (which has a partial zip front), so accordingly, I cannot expect this to have been quite the same. I guess it depends on what you wish to use this for ... lake or river water, or other outdoor sports, might be fine, but I fail to see how the thinner fabric of this one could still offer 50 SPF like my other one claims. The reason I ordered this one is because the zip front of the other sometimes rides up closer to my neck in a pool swim, so I end up keeping it open at the neck.Rather than a comparative rating to my other shirt (though both are XL and true to size), this could work as something lightweight and it does have nice comfortable styling and feminine fit. I would have loved to pick out a brighter color, but I went with the green because there are a lot of bees and wasps that roam my garden ... the pool sits amid their roaming, so it will less tempting for them to think I'm a flower. The green is a pretty shade, but my camera didn't capture it well. It's pretty close to what the listing photos convey in person.For the price point, it's a decently made shirt. I am not impressed with the thumb holds and may remove them carefully (would have been better with self-fabric loops). SPF rating? Don't know yet how it will compare to my other one, which did prove last summer to stand up to pool swims while protecting my arms and shoulders.

I really like the overall feel of this fabric, silky and lightweight. When I go to the beach, I like to wear a good sun protecting rash guard with swim shorts for comfort and coverage as well as that cute scuba look. This top has a few extra details from some of my other plainer ones. First, it has two side pockets and they blend in seamlessly so there are no bulges--unless, of course, you stow your phone in there. But I love pockets. Next, it has these unique thumb loops. Not like the typical kind, where there is a reinforced slit at the end of each sleeve. These are elastic bands that easily tuck away behind the cuff which I think is kind of brilliant. The other kind just look odd--like I've ripped my shirt, but the Viodia shirt looks sleek. The label states this suit was designed in Italy--what a great pedigree! It also says it was made in China, and this shirt is made well. The raglan sleeves give an overall designer look. Sizing and fit are always hard for me because I fit in different sizes on the chart, depending on what is being measured. Ugh. I mostly fit in the small or medium range on the chart, except my chest size is 38" which they say is their size L. I ordered the M and it fits just right. It's fitted, but not tight or binding. I'm a petite size so this shirt runs long on me, but I'm used to that. All in all, a wonderful shirt.

This basic-style rash guard is a lightweight shirt with stitched-on thumb loops. I tried it on while swimming in the Bahamas, and it protected my skin well. The material is stretchy, soft, quick-drying, and comfortable to wear. However, I did feel a bit warmer compared to other UV protection shirts I own. It's not a major issue, though, since I'll be wearing it in the water. The two side pockets are deep and definitely a nice touch. I am US size 2 and XS fitted me perfectly. True to color.

My wife wears rash guards all spring and summer. She likes the protection she gets from the UPF 50+ sun protection rating and the fact that they are generally light enough in long or short sleeve to wear comfortably in the warmer weather.The fabric is light, stretchy and comfortable with strong over stitched seams and it is well designed incorporating pockets. The top of the pocket is reinforced well to handle items in and out without stretching the fabric. And the design with one layer of material sewn into existing side and bottom seams minimizes bulk and allows for them to lie flat.My wife likes the slight angle of the pockets as they give the shirt enough contour to make it more attractive than a plain rash guard. Another nice feature is the black elastic for the thumb loops. So many of the shirts just put white elastic on them but these are nicely camouflaged.The fit is perfect. She is petite but wanted a medium so it would not fit too tight. It hangs nicely and the length is not too long as many of them seem to be. There does not seem to be anything not to like about this product. She is excited about having a rash guard with pockets, a good fit, forgiving fabric and a nice design. I highly recommend as this is definitely one worth considering.

This UPF 50 + SPF UV long sleeve shirt is relaxed fit and not body forming tight like some rash guards. I'd recommend wearing a bikini top underneath if wearing as a rash guard and wearing a sports bra underneath if wearing as a sun protection shirt for hiking. Even with a thick sports bra on underneath, I was conscious of my nips showing.The elastics at the end of the sleeves are helpful to keep the sleeves from riding up the arms, especially in water. The two side pockets are deep enough to hold my android phone and are nice to have to put things in it when hiking, but it would have been better with hidden zippers. Again, this shirt isn't that great for swimming because who swims with open pockets?Shirt is lightweight and cooling, a little long for my 5'1" body but it still looks nice for working out or hiking. Overall, I'd give it 4 stars and recommend.
