Used these to replace failed IR receiver in 2 first generation Vizio television. Worked like a charm. Affordable part repaired usable LCD televisions. You too can do this with basic soldering skills.

Looked up the Vishay data sheet and it says "Supply voltage: 2.5 V to 5.5 V" but it does not work at 3.3V which is what I required. I see now that in the couple lines in the product description it says 4.5-5.5V, but this all could've been avoided if an accurate data sheet had been linked on the amazon page. It's not that hard
