This shoe horn works but it is a little flimsy but works as described. I don't expect it to work long term as after 2 weeks of use it appears to increase in sloppiness. I recently had a hip replacement and have the need for this device. I find that each day it gets a little more wobblier where the two units connect. As I will need this for the next 4-6 weeks, I may look into a sturdier one piece unit before it breaks.

I bought this for me, I wanted something so I could put my shoes on standing up. I'm not a Sketchers guy and I don't want to ruin the back of my shoes. This works fine for me. I got it because I saw a friend of mine putting his shoes on in the parking lot of my golf club.

Shoe horn is long enough to get shoes on without breaking the back of the shoes. Don't have to bend to get foot in shoes

Good quality. My husband is hard on things and he hasn't broken this yet! It's easy to put together amd take apart. It's lightweight. Ita perfect for work boots and tennis shoes.

I have a very high instep. Putting on shoes is usually a tug and war with my shoes. I also have problems with my balance. With the Vive shoehorn I’m actually able to put my shoes on standing up. For years I’ve had to find a place to sit down and spend at least 30 seconds pulling, tugging and twisting my foot one way or another to get my foot into my shoe. Now I can put my toes in, out the shoehorn in the heel of my shoe and slide right in. No more tugging and pulling at the back of my shoe and almost no twisting of my foot. The first time I used it I was amazed what a difference it made. It feels sturdy. It’s made of plastic but it’s nice and ridged. As for ease of traveling, I don’t know how easy it will be to fit into a suitcase. It should fit in a large suitcase but I don’t know about a carry-on bag. I have not tried it yet. But as far as home use I’m impressed and plan to buy one for my sister.
