When you pull these out of the packaging (and, as a side note, they are Very Securely Packaged!) you might think you want your money back. They are not shiny and uniform and pretty. But the price is right. These hinges cost about half of what they go for at Tractor Supply, and they do just as good a job. I bought two packages (16 bolts) and not a single one of them had faulty threads. We used all 16 just fine. They installed perfectly, swing well, and saved us a bundle of money. I would not hesitate to buy them again next time we install livestock gates.

I much prefer the threaded gate hinges over lag bolt hinges to allow leveling of the gate and for future adjustment if the gate begins to sag since I use quick pin latches that need to be perfectly aligned. These hinges are heavy duty and will work. However, the galvanized finish is very rough. You can't spin the nut on most of the threads so you will have to use tools to even get the nut to the fence post. Portions of the nut have clumps of coating so the wrench doesn't fit without using force or sanding. The hinge pin also has rough spots so you will want to sand those so the gate swings smooth, or I'm sure after opening and closing the gate several times it will smooth the hinge pins out. Only time will tell if the galvanized coating will flake off given the clumps and roughness which will cause them to rust. The price for these is comparable to stainless threaded gate hinges, so I will likely go with those in the future.

Perfect extension for setting a chain link gate. Opening was just a big larger than the gate. These worked perfect.

I bought these to hang two 16 gates that are being controlled by Ghost controls. Easy to adjust as long as you install them squarely.

I had too large of a gap to install magnetic locks on my gate. With these J bolt hinges, I was able to shift gate closer and locks work great. Very easy to install and the quality of these J bolts is good. The galvanized coating makes it rust resistant and matches the finish of the fence post. Good product.
