The base works fine and keep the laptop cool and secure thanks to the two side clamps. The setup is easy, as easy as any other laptop stand I've installed before. The fan is a nice addition, have nice coloring and is not too much distracting.

I have this holding up my working computer. I like that it boost the computer and webcam up off the desk giving me some more room to work and a better view angle when video conferencing. The stand has about 8-10" of usable 'lift' but I'm only using about 3-4 inches. I have the arm almost fully extended outwards and with a 15" Dell (a little on the heavy side) it holds pretty steady, unless I hit the desk with my chair or something. I do not worry about it 'dropping' my computer. There is a fan, but I don't use it. It adds a bit of white noise that I don't find appealing. Additionally, it has rainbow lighting that is a further distraction. I simply don't plug in the fan.

I use this with a Dell Latitude 5591 laptop clip-mounted to a 1-inch metal side of a thin glass desk. This mount is surprisingly sturdy! No slips, no sudden collapses, no unexpected movements, all is good with a few weeks of use.The fan is nice but I would have liked to see some way to control power to it. I have it connected to a USB-C dock, and my dock continues powering the fan with my laptop off or even with the dock disconnected from the laptop. Can easily be solved aftermarket though!

Its a heavy material but it is safe for my lap top. Adjustable. Easy to assemble

I’m loving this laptop stand! It’s super sturdy and adjustable, but the best thing is that it gets the laptop off of my desk, and gives me more room on my desk! Highly recommended!

This laptop stand from Vivo is a versatile combination of a single VESA-mount monitor arm and a VESA-mounting laptop platform with a 120mm USB-powered fan. The included base and pole are made of sturdy metal, with the mountable part of the pole standing 13" tall. The articulating arm offers about 16" of reach. A VESA mounting plate slides onto and locks into the arm's mounting plate. The VESA laptop platform is bent at a fixed angle, but some adjustment is possible as the end of the arm provides angle adjustments. The mounting arm's base is robust and can be swapped between a grommet mount that requires a ~1 cm diameter hole and a larger, adjustable C-clamp type of mount. The long reach of the arm and the weight of your laptop can cause a bit of wobble, but the arm itself is solid and the joints tighten up firmly with the hex key.The fan was installed blowing "down," which is backwards from how my laptop pulls in air from the bottom. Fortunately, the fan screws were easy to remove, allowing me to flip the fan around. The fan includes an extra loop of exposed wire for the LED power, presumably to permit it to be cut to disable the LEDs if desired.
