I purchased this product to balance the rear wheel of my BMW k1200LT motorcycle. This particular wheel design is a rear wheel swing arm design and I had to slightly modify this balancer to accommodate that - but I also purchased this balancer fully expecting to have to do a modification due to this design. If you're wheels are using an axle, you're probably good to go with this straight out of the box.The assembly instructions were not all that helpful but anyone can figure out how to put this balancer together. It is extremely simple and it is well made. Basically, just insert the four feet and screw in the level and the four small balance wheels that the bar rides on and you're done. You will need to level it first by adjusting the feet so the level bubble sits perfectly in the middle of the circle. Very easy to do. It comes with two small "O-rings" that slide on the balance bar - not sure what those are for and they do not affect the functionality of the wheel balancer.As for balancing your wheel, first, you will need some wheel balance weights that are also available (purchased separately) on Amazon. Once you have those, there are several good videos available on the internet on how to balance your wheel. I had no issues with balancing - I'm not sure that I balanced my rear wheel perfectly - it is very close at any rate and at speeds of up to 115mph, I did not detect any wheel shaking. For my use, this is a perfect solution and a big cost saving.I would recommend this product to anyone wanting to balance their own wheels at home instead of schlepping them down to the dealership. This balancer will literally pay for itself on the next use.

I was looking at a different one, but since I read reviews the other seemed to not be made with quality parts, I found this one and it had very good reviews, when mine arrived it all looked to be very good quality parts, the only problem was the bubble level was packaged with the bolts and I guess from being banged around the edge was broke in two places, the big broke piece had one of the three screw holes in it, I sent an email and pictures of it and didn't think I got a response so I called the next evening and got the nicest woman on the phone and she pulled it up and they had responded 12:30am my time, and had offered to replace it, she asked if I did want that and I said yes so she responded on my behalf & said I would receive a emailed tracking number and was there anything else I needed, as I said in the beginning it is solid and very good parts and now I can also say very great customer service, I got the blue one

I like this balancer, and would buy another one... It's sturdy, well designed, and not flimsy. But, the bearings don't roll freely enough, in my opinion. These bearings are the standard bearing type that are used in skateboards, roller skates, inline skates, etc. I replaced the bearings with some ABEC-7 608ZZ bearings that I had already removed from a pair of roller skates. The axle shaft rolls with very little resistance now, and that means that I can balance a wheel with greater accuracy.

If you want to start changing your own tires, this is a must to balance them. Highly recommended for how easy it is to put together, balance your tires, and then dissemble to stow back in the box. Very much worth it.
