Increased Air Flow and Faster Response.
This chrome look solenoid is used with air horns that require an on-board air system for 12 volt vehicles. When the vehicle's horn button is depressed, the solenoid becomes electrically energized, opening its chamber and permitting air from the tank to reach the horn. Air Valve is rated up to 200 PSI air pressure. Screws in to any horn that has a 1/4" NPT female thread, at air port. Compression fitting for 3/8" OD hose included.

I bought the 120 dollar train horn and from day one had issues. Horn would not work if compressor was full. Only worked below 95 psi ? Also every now and then my horn would hit puberty and sound like a clown horn. Bought this solenoid and all is great!! TY

Bad engineering design having a brass fitting into a steel connection. I finally had to permatex the fitting to the Solenoid so it wouldn't leak. I hope I never have to remove it. Other then that the overall package (Horn Set) is great and it does get attention.

I installed this valve on a set of Hadley twin trumpet truck horns. I tested both connections at 200 psig with soap solution and found no leaks. I then let the system stand pressirized for 4 hours with no measurable loss of pressure. Following the leak test i installed and connected the horns. The valve is completely functional but onlt to a pressure of 120 psi. When i tried to operate the horns at 150 psi the valve would not open. For this i deducted one star.

These are much better quality than the cheap solenoids that come with the cheap horn kits.

It only works at low air pressure anything above 60 psi the solenoid doesn’t work anymore I don’t know what’s wrong with it I already chunked in the trash I don’t recommend this product

This was so easy to install. It actually came in on time, and had easy to read instructions. I was pretty amazed at how easy it was to install.

worked well but i stripped the intake?? valve leaking as a result.. upgraded to 3/8's and the horn is louder. also the other brand valve seems to be of better quality, this one seems like the metal is very "soft"
