These electric scissors are much better than others I have purchased. They are loud but work very well. Easy to use and works great! It is high performing and I love them. saves my hands so much from cutting all the fabric. just follow your pattern lines.no jagged edges

I never thought there'd be a need for high-powered scissors unless I was cutting countless yards of metal. Functionality for these are primarily for fabric. So this seems like overkill. Yes they cut, they are dangerously sharp but in order to get a decent cut, it takes an excessive amount of practice. They are not hard to use but hard to get used to. The built-in guide mechanism on the front of the device is unpredictable at times and occasionally the material would buckle and get stuck causing a jagged cut which can only be described as looking like a two year old child did it. I had better results cutting thin sheets of aluminum with this. This device is on the heavy side and makes more noise than desired. scissors might be more effective but not as fast or as fun. These do cut through regular material like butter with no effort by me. Keeping a straight line was the challenge though. As I turned these cargo pants into shorts. You simply place the blade in front of the material and it guides itself most of the time which is why I always get anything but a straight line when I cut. The first blade became dull since I was doing a lot of practice cutting on everything. It comes with an extra blade but also has a convenient self sharpening feature and sometimes it have to remember to oil it. Especially after cutting carpet. It will heat up when put to use. It's still relatively safe. Additionally it comes in the very practical carrying case that isn't all that well made it seems the plastic it's made of is much too thin to hold such a heavy tool or maybe my case is damaged. Not a deal-breaker I never keep it in the case anyways. Only the extra battery it comes with. It's a pretty good deal if you have something you can apply this device's talents too.

Very easy to use, cutting a felt liner with thin rubber bottom. It cut it pretty well considering the alternative would have killed my hand. Comes with everything needed to use and an extra battery.

These are scary, they work so fast. They have more than enough power to cut through heavy fabric (and seams, and waist bands) effortlessly.We practiced on an old pair of denim jeans and while we stayed away from the pocket rivets, all the rest of the seams, pockets, waistbands, hems didn't noticeably slow down the cutting. In the 20+ minutes of practice, we didn't notice a significant drain on the battery, so we've yet to get a feel for how long one will last - but having two batteries makes it easy to swap one out to the charger when it gets low.You may need to spend some time on practice cuts, as once these get going they initially feel like they are dangerously out of control. After a few cuts, things were looking better, but we would need a lot more practice if one were expecting precision cuts. Would be effortless to get the general cuts all done, and then decide if you're skilled enough with these to do the closer cuts.The product description mentioned cutting through cardboard, so we gave that a try. The 'foot' of the cutter widens after the cut, and that width made it difficult to cut thru something rigid, as the after-cut resisted spreading apart. Probably some technic to make that easier, but we really weren't planning on using these that way.The only mild complaint (other than not having the skill and finesse yet to keep these under control!) might be that the unit is a bit on the heavy side, however it's a solid little machine that appears to be quite durable.

Very heavy duty! I have electric rotary scissors for fabrics but this beast will do carpets and just about anything I throw at it! The batteries last a long time and the motor is very strong!
