By using Donaldson's PowerCore Filtration technology submicron contaminants load on the surface rather than collecting in the depth of the filter. This boosts efficiency and increases performance on your aftermarket air intake system. The filter media wont deteriorate as easily as traditional cotton/gauze filters. Plus its water resistant so getting wet wont ruin your air flow or cause a decrease in performance. This is why we warranty our replacement air filters for 4 years or 100000 miles in urban conditions whichever comes first.

This added some nice BHP to my Challenger and has that perfect growling tone when I throw the hammer down. Noise level is not obnoxious but makes a statement when you give it some gas. I haven't seen any increase in MPG but that is definitely due to my 'spirited' driving now that i have about 15 more horses. Install took about 15 minutes, although getting the filter inside the filter box was a bit of a pain. The filter is round and the sleeve inside the box to hold the filter was more oval. I had to work the filter a bit to make it less stiff so it would fit around the sleeve. Couple this with the opening being only large enough to fit one hand in made me feel like I was building a ship in a bottle. Glad I only have to do it once every 100k miles. I just hope Volant lives up to the lifetime promise!

On the plus side, these are high quality parts that definitely look good under the hood. On the other hand, get ready to fab some stuff. The snorkel nozzle didn't fit, so I replaced it with dryer pipe as you can see in the photo. Also, they should include a pigtail to extend the air temp sensor. I undid a bunch of tape and two push rivets to get enough slack but a pigtail would have been much better

Excellent. 104000 miles and counting. Install wasn't bad, make sure to get the ram air tube lined up, and secured, to the grill opening or defeating the purpose. Picked about 5-10% on the mpg. I can't really hear a difference, and hard to quantify power gains w/o a dyno but if the mileage goes up it's obviously making an improvement. Replaced the filter, $95 or so, but not bad every 100k miles. Wish I had one on my pickup instead of the cheaper Airaid...

Installed on a 2013 Challenger R/T: here is my breakdown...Sound: Awesome, just freakin awesome!Performance: Excellent, lit my tires after installation. Seems like more HP to me!Installation: Pretty tricky with the snorkel going inside the fender well to reach and remove the air vent shield. Busted a couple knuckles installing that part. The upper installation was a breeze. Worth a little blood and scratches? Oh yes!Quality: Great, after New Level sent me a replacement box. There was a bad lot of injection molded boxes I guess? My first box had small air pocket imperfections in the top corner, which would be in plain sight aesthetically. I call to get a replacement box, but Volant was unable to ship me a new box because all of the boxes on their shelf had the same imperfection. Volant could not give an ETA on a replacement box. This went on for 3 weeks. New Level (the supplier) went beyond expectations and shipped me a replacement box at their cost. Great customer service from them! This product would have received 5 stars if the above had been handled better by Volant.Top notch customer service by the New Level staff and management for approving my replacement box at their cost. I hope Volant eventually made it right with them.

Look good but I don't know if I gain HP...

The installation was pretty simple. Overall it is a nice unit. I installed at the same time as a 90mm throttle body, so there was definitely a difference but I can't say from which mod. One thing I was bummed about this is that it pulls air from the opening in the front which is ok, but the Challenger has a giant snorkel that pulls in air from the lower grill. I am not sure why they didn't use this instead of sticking a small snorkel down there. Strange in my opinion. I would have liked a CAI that took advantage of that stock setup.
