I like these metal bookends because they are tall to hold up my 4" notebooks. They are heavy and extend further under the notebooks. I have ordered a total of 6 pairs of bookends. They are sturdy and nice looking.Than You

Exactly what I needed. One observation is that they are not very heavy, so they won't hold up a tricky lean of heavy books. You won't be able to use them to cram heavy books together. They are excellent for holding a tidy shelf of books.

I got these for holding professional development books in my home office area. As you can see, they're bowing out very slightly on either side, but not enough for the covers to curl outward on the ends -- that's what I was trying to avoid by getting larger bookends. I hate it when paperback covers curl out because the bookend doesn't fit. I've had these for a few weeks now and they're holding up well. The metal is decent quality and getting an extra set was a good value. That's what made me choose this set in particular. It was $8 when I purchased and that's pretty dang good!

I also bought a different set later because these were unavailable. These are superior! Nice a heavy, and they extend further under the books on the bottom. I even enclosed the bookend inside the cover of the end book and they are invisible. Then you can just put whatever simple object you like against the outside cover to keep it closed, if necessary

I noticed that depending on colour you will either get 1 or 2 pairs, so pay attention which one you're purchasing!I bought the one on my photo, and 4 of each came, and they are very polished, very stylish, and looking good at my daughter's bookshelf, she loved it! Books now stop vertical, with the bookends! She asked me if I bought more! I will have to oblige ^_^Excellent purchase and great price for 4!
