The Vornado Pivot Personal Air Circulator Fan is exactly what i wanted. At six inches it does not take up much space, but dont let the small size mislead you! The tiny fan circulates a large amount of air quickly and quietly. The fan feels like it is built well, and it looks nice too. I plan on getting another one to use in other areas of my home, Highly recommended item.

This is NOT going to cool down a room. It is designed as a very focused, personal fan, and in that capacity it excels. I use mine specifically to help cool a business laptop's docking station since the internal fans all fail within 60 days and I'm tired of coordinating with my local IT Support for a replacement. I use larger Vornado fans for my home. I've done warranty replacements with Vornado in the past and their customer support was great, so they continue to get my business.

This fan is great at doing what it is designed to do (moving a small-medium amount of air with relatively low noise). This is a small fan and is not going to compete with a large fan for moving large amounts of air, but that is not what I purchased it for.I purchased this fan to use at speaking engagements. As a man that is carrying more weight than I should, I sweat more than most people. I also have to talk in from of crowds more than most people do. This last weekend was the first time I used the fan at a speaking engagement and it worked very well. I had it on the table next to the podium aiming in the direction of the speaker. I ran the fan on the medium setting which provided enough airflow to keep me cool while also being very quiet.On the lowest setting, the fan is almost silent and provides enough air for a person sitting at a desk.On the medium setting, the fan is fairly quiet and provides airflow to a distance of 8-10 feet.On the high setting, the fan is quite loud (all fans are loud on high) and will provide quite a bit of airflow. Again, this will not compete with a large box fan, but that is not what it is designed to do.The fan direction is easily adjustable, but it does not oscillate.Overall, this is a great small, portable fan that works very well for cooling a single person. I would recommend this fan to anyone without reservation.

It's a nice little fan and works really well. It's quiet except on the max setting. My boyfriend sleeps with it on every night and often forgets to turn it off in the morning but it's still going strong after months of use.

I didn’t really like the flimsy build quality of this fan. Aesthetically it’s not bad looking but it feels like it’s going to break down any moment. Furthermore, the fan is louder than some of the other bigger Vornado fans I’ve had on the past.Air flow is good but all in all other Vornado fans are much better than this. Angle not being adjustable is also an issue, you must have this at the correct height to be able to feel the air as the angle is not changeable.The good things about this, it looks pretty good in my opinion and doesn’t take up too much space, for the size the air flow is pretty good. I use it on highest setting as the other lower 2 settings feel too low. Tia is more of a personal fan so it works best on a working desk or office environment.Good fan but i think other Vornado are better, for the price it’s pretty good.

This is the perfect fan to have on your desk at work in a stuffy office or on the floor for your pups after a long hot summer walk. The highest level is a little loud at first, but quickly becomes background noise. We mostly use ours in the living room (about 12'x12') to help keep the air moving, and it blends well with our decor.The size, along with the tilt/positioning, is great too because you can place it anywhere and direct the air where you'd like. We often have ours on the floor tilted slightly upwards so our dog can get a cool breeze while he's laying on the floor, and the air can circulate up to about waist level without it being an overwhelming gust. We've also used it at mid level tilted fairly straight, and even on level one (which honestly is so silent I sometimes have to check that it actually turned it on), it provides the perfect amount of air flow.The little "feet" stabilize and silent any possible movement on hard surfaces and keep it perfectly flat and in place.

I bought this for my office desk for when the office A/C may not be sufficient. It is attractive and works well to cool the area. I've only used it on low and medium. So good, I will take it home when I retire next year. The only con is that it cannot be opened to clean it. However, so far so good, it has kept clean. I have a larger Vornado at home which I can clean as I live on the upper east side of Manhattan where there is alot of building construction causing dust in the air. In summary, I recommend Vornado fans and this new one is ideal for my office. Could probably even cool a larger area. It is a great value.

I'm not sure what others are complaining about in these reviews...this fan is compact, super attractive, not loud at all, and it moves plenty of air. This thing sits 2 feet away from me on my desk and it produces the perfect focused stream of air that keeps me cool, but is still so well directed that it doesn't bother my hair OR the papers laying on my desk. It does not vibrate or buzz like the cheap Honeywell I used to have, and it does not "wander" around the desk, either. The base is cute/interesting, and the rubber rings around it DO keep the fan securely where I put it.I'm wondering if other buyers are expecting it to move as much air as a floor fan - and if so, they are not being realistic. As a floor fan or a serious air mover, this will disappoint you, because it isn't designed to be a serious air mover. It's designed to be the perfect desk fan, and in my opinion, they nailed it. I have yet to need it on more than a 1....and 3 makes my shirt flap in the wind.

I bought this fan to circulate air in a high humidity indoor greenhouse (that's rather large). I like that I can use the stand to hang it from the support bars and it looks stylish. The noise is quieter then a lot of floor fans, but louder then a lot of mini fans. I like that it's powerful, I keep it on the lowest setting and stepping into the greenhouse you can always feel the air movement.
