I got this product to use to secure my Vortex binoculars onto a clamp that I needed to use on my Deerstand in order to film. It works wonderful, very easy to put together and to use very sturdy product.

This adapter is fantastic- allows you to quickly mount/unmount your binos to/from your tripod without having to unscrew the whole adapter each time. The post stays on your binos and should fit easily into your chestpack (my Vortex 10x42 Diamondbacks fit with the post in the Vortex Glasspak, the FHF, and the AGC Ravus chest rigs.)Great product that saves time and space.

This is a good product, for what it is intended to be, which is a tripod mount that is quickly and easily detached from. The product comes in two pieces. The base screws into the tripod head. The top stem screws firmly and securely into the binoculars, and is then seated into the base. There are two small pins on the bottom of the top stem that prevent it from rotating in the base, but there is no tension or locking mechanism to hold it in place, other than gravity. This is the way I prefer it. If I want to quickly remove the binoculars from the tripod all I have to do is lift them straight up. I don't think I would want an adaptor that holds the binoculars down, as it would make them difficult to remove quickly and they would be toast if somehow the tripod gets knocked over onto rocks or concrete. The binoculars would take the full brunt of the fall if fully attached. At least this way they could fall free of the tripod and stand a chance. I bought this for use with the Vortex Crossfire 8x42 binoculars, and they easily fit back in the included chest pack with the stem still attached and are not in the way at all.

Bought this to use binoculars with my gun tripod. I also bought the Neewer fluid head mount to go on the tripod. This is the adapter that goes on your bino and connects to the mount.

Easy to take on and off of a tripod and super light. But when the wind picks up you can’t see anything. I use it with my 18x56 razors and I think I’ll upgrade to the vortex pro bino adapter. If you have high power binos and will be using it in the wind I’d recommend doing the same.

It was a little difficult to put onto the binos.. the screw is tough to grab and twist… too short. But other than that is good.

The Vortex adapter was very easy to fit onto the binoculars once I had removed the front cap. The kit came with the correct bolt and an Alan key. The bottom part easily screws onto a tripod screw and then you just slip the two parts together. This allows you to use on the tripod or to quickly lift of and use handheld. I have a pair of Vortex binoculars which are 12x magnification and because of this they have an irritating shake at full magnification while being hand held. With this adapter and the binoculars on a tripod the view is crystal clear.
