HOW TO USE
Step 1
Put the wire in the connector.
Step 2
Use the pliers to fold the connector over the wire. Squeeze the connector together until it locks.
Step 3
Insert the wire into the spade, and crimp it down to secure the wire.
Step 4
Plug the spade terminal directly into the tap connector.Now you have a secure and insulated connection

We've used these taps on lighting loads to acquire a neutral & hot connection (120 vac equipment) They're inexpensive and they are very easy to use. Tremendously faster & cleaner than a splicing job using a wire nut.I'm sure these would work fine for low voltage as well. I should have ordered 2 boxes! These things tend to find uses around our shop. Very handy indeed!Two thumbs up!

Several of them are missing the metal prong. It falls out easily.

The quality of the materials is the problem here. The crimp connector is acceptable quality and durability. It's the snapping wiretap that is the issue, it doesn't do a good job of gripping the wire it is supposed to be tapping. And several cases be strands of wire were cut by the tap or the small piece of metal for the tap opened so wide that it wasn't gripping the wires firmly
