I’ve tried several baby monitors but this is finally the model I will stop on and use on daily basis. Tech is a great reputable company. We have other products from them and are pretty happy with all.CONS:I’d like to mention m negative at the beginning and then I’ll talk about all the PROs of it. One part that I don’t like is when it’s connected to wi-fi and I use my phone app to look at the baby through the app it doesn’t always detect the camera right away. It may take several refresh attempts but eventually it works. But this lagging in connectivity is not pleasant and few time has frustrated me. However it’s not as big of an issue for me to remove the star. It still gets 5/5. I’d like to mention, when I tried to connect camera through the app it didn’t work from the bedroom. I had to take camera to the living room very close to the router, plug it in the outlet and then it connected easily. Monitor not a touchscreen.PROS:The camera and monitor were easy to set up. Monitor works right away. It’s not a touch screen but navigation with buttons is pretty simple. Monitor screen is pretty good size. The resolution and video quality are good as well. It has a kick stand for it to stand like a photo frame. It can be plugged in or it can be portable unplugged and works on a battery that has a good capacity. I can control volume of the baby noise I hear from the room. Be ready if it’s on the highest volume the baby cry will be heard really loudly on the monitor, so I keep it on low or medium as a personal preference. I can set the lights and music for baby to see and hear when falling asleep. There are timers for lights, lullabies, for screen time to be on: 15, 30, 60 mins or infinite/no timer. Night mode is great on the camera. I can easily see my baby.AAP and Wi-Fi connection:To put the camera in pairing mode there is the button on the bottom of the camera (looks like a cutout button). Press and hold it until it beeps. When I downloaded the app (it’s called “VTech Baby Plusâ€) everything became even easier. Now I can monitor my baby from outside of my home. I can record a video, make a snapshot, change colors on the night light, put some lullabies on (there are 5 options) or soothing sounds, and I can even talk to my baby through the camera speaker. This is so convenient.Now I can finally go do my stuff around the house wile my son is napping and I don’t have to run in the bedroom to check on him all the time. This really gives me some freedom and peace of mind. I love the product and I highly recommend to other parents and caregivers.

You have to make sure you are downloading the correct app when setting up. I made a mistake of doing that. I was able to get the correct app on my phone and set up another account. Its a shame that one account doesn’t work on both apps if you do make a mistake. I didn’t know that the camera took temperature of the room. I am very happy about this. I already have a monitor/camera in my nursery but I needed phone access. This does the job just great. My husband can use the monitor, which is the size of his phone and has a big screen and I can use my phone with the free app when I am in the office downstairs. Very nice, the other extras of lights and lullaby is nice too. The one thing I wish the camera had was a screw type bottom to mount on a stand. I need to get a stand and figure out how to get it up high so it not furniture level. I don’t want to attach to my wall.

We had a Vtech Baby Monitor for our son after he was born. Nearly 7 years later, we still have it running in his room so we can check on him from time to time when he is in there paying. They do last a long time!We saw this one and snagged it so we can have a camera downstairs as well. The quality of the camera is great, the picture is clear and bright. We don't use any of the baby features but there certainly are plenty of them. Music plays, there is motion detection monitoring, you can even talk through it. I like that it gives you the temperature of the room and you can move the camera angles at the touch of a button. The monitor is easy to use and set up, the app is also fairly easy to figure out once you have it all connected. This is a very nice, high quality baby monitor, with a name you can definitely trust.Our family highly recommends!

This baby monitor works amazing, it's very easy to connect and streams seamlessly so we can keep an eye on our little one. The picture is amazing and the battery lasts 3 to 4 days which is really nice. The sound is good enough to where I can tell what's occurring so I am more than happy!

Don’t buy this camera if you have modern Wi-Fi. And by that I mean, 5G or anything fiber. It only connects to 2.4 GHz. After literally three hours of trying to connect the parent unit, we gave up. During that time, we searched the Internet, like crazy and found no hopeful videos that should be listed on the box. I only gave it two stars because the camera quality was really good disappointed I have to return it.

Wow, baby monitors sure have come a long ways since my kids were little many moons ago. I wanted a monitor for when our grands come over to visit, and I've always been a fan of VTech products, so this was an easy choice for me. I expected the usual quality of VTech but what I didn't expect was all the cool features this monitor has on it. The monitors I used when my kids were little were blurry and all you could do was see and hear what your baby was doing in whatever fixed position you set it up in, but the parent monitor on this set up allows you to talk back to your little one, turn on/off a nightlight, play lullabies, adjust the camera angle, zoom in, etc. Way more than I'm used to or was expecting. I'm not super techy but the instructions were very easy to understand and the how to videos made set up pretty easy even for someone like me.
