So my OEM tire monitors are so finicky sometimes they connect. Sometimes they disconnect so they're hard to depend on. Also they don't tell me what current tire pressure I have or which tire is low. An easy and economical fix to this problem was this unit. Out of the box It took 5 minutes to set up. The gauges themselves were not simple to put on but once you got the hang of it they went on nicely. The receiver that sits on your dash is nice because it gets charged by the Sun so you don't have to worry about power. This came in handy on a recent trip when my tire was punctured and the receiver alarm went off. I knew exactly what tire and the PSI that tire had which helped me determine how fast I need to get off the road. I even took off The gauge of the blown tire and put it on my spare. Now you can't do that with your OEM monitors. This unit has been great and I recommend it.

Unit works pretty good. I didn't have the instructions when configuration (left them in the house) but was able to figure out the settings pretty easily. The sensors read about 3psi lower than actual, but all 4 were had the same offset. The lcd screen is easy to read from different angles which is really nice. My other one could only really see it with it tilted up.It stays charged up pretty good.Odd thing is every time I open the door to the truck after some time (>15mins), the unit will beep. Not sure why. Maybe it goes into sleep mode.I use this for monitoring the trailer tires and does a good job keeping accurate readings on a 20ft trailer.

Some newer vehicles provide individual monitoring of all four tires but others, like my Tundra, still only provide a single idiot light that doesn't indicate which tire (or tires) are low. When it lights up, I have to pull over and check the pressure of each tire. This VXDAS tire monitoring system has eliminated all that hassle. Its screen displays current pressure and temperature for each tire. It's wireless so no wiring in the vehicle is required. and it's solar powered but can also be charged with the included cord. You do need to follow the instruction manual to configure and setup the device but once you've done so, you're good to go.After I fully charged the device, it only took about 15 minutes to install the sensors and setup the device. Since then, the solar panel has kept the device fully charged. I've also found it to be accurate +- 0.5 lb. My first confirmation of this happened when I first installed it. As you can see in the attached image I took immediately after setting it up, the pressures were slightly off. When I checked the actual pressure at each tire, three were an exact match and the fourth was only off by 0.5lb.I didn't use the provided mounting pad - I don't like to stick anything directly to my dashboard. Instead, I've since set the unit on a small silicon mat and it has stayed put, even when I accelerate or brake hard.NOTE: If the sensors don't immediately pair with the unit at first setup or after doing a factory reset, you may need to drive your vehicle with the unit turned on at 30km per hour (19mph) for several minutes..

Monitoring your tire pressure is one of those things that is really important for safety and to get the longest life out of your expensive tires. The pain point, having to get dirty after you actually remember to check your pressure. If you’re lucky, you already have TPMS built in, but if you’re looking here, that’s probably not the case. Will this device help save your bacon… and tires? Let’s dive in.You get 4 sensors, 4 nuts that are used to tighten against the sensors so they stay put, and a display to see the sensor readings. Installation is simple. Put the nuts on the valve stem, install the sensor on the valve stem (make sure it’s tight without twisting the valve stem too much), and use the included wrench to tighten the nut against the sensor. Now you’re done at the tires. You’ll have to read the directions to change the parameters on the display. You can adjust alarms for low and high pressure as well as high temperature. A neat feature on the display is the little solar panel to help keep it charged. This, coupled with the auto sleep/wake feature, should keep you going for awhile.I found that the reading from the sensors were ok. I’d like to see a higher level of accuracy because I had the alarms set to just a few PSI above and below the target pressure. I think the alarms need to be at least 5 PSI from the target. Maybe this is just an issue with external sensor, but I don’t know for sure. Unfortunately, it’s hard to check the tire temp readings, but it’s a nice feature to have. The display is a bit difficult to read in bright light, but you’re probably not starring at it either. To this point, I’d say it still is a useful device that will help notify you of possible problems. My biggest gripe is with the alarms. There is no way to silence an alarm without shutting off the device. Obviously, if there is an alarm going off, you have a problem. It may be a blowout or it could be a slow leak. With a slow leak, you might decide to gamble and continue driving to a location that is easier for you to address the issue. That whole time you’ll have the alarm going off. If you shut off the device, you won’t know if another tire is losing pressure, as could be the case if you ran over debris. As long as you can deal with the wider range needed to monitor the PSI (or listen to the alarm if that range is too tight) and the fact that the alarm won’t stop until the pressure is back in range or you turn the device off, then this is a viable solution to warn you of issues that need to be dealt with much sooner than later.
