If mounted on the original Milwaukee grinder (as purchased), the recess on this flapper disk appears to be too shallow, allowing the arbor to stick quite a bit above the grinding surface. This prevents the full use of the 1-inch flaps. In fact, only the outer 3/8" could contact the work. That means 5/8" can't be used since doing so would bring the protruding arbor in contact with the work. (see photo 1)I purchased an after-market outer 5/8" X 11 tpi outer disk flange lock nut and then was able to use the original Milwaukee outer flange nut (flipped upside-down) as a spacer over the Milwaukee inner slip-on flange adapter. This arrangement resulted in no protruding spindle. (see photos 2 and 3)So, the fault lies with Milwaukee. They should have included an extra outer flange nut to act as that necessary spacer, but they didn't.

I use these for making fish mouths and inch and 3/4 Dom roll cage tubing and it works amazing chews faster than any flapper wheel I've ever used but doesn't last as long so buy a couple

Not much to say about these flap wheels. They work as expected and fit my grinder. I really like that the paper wraps around the edge which allows me to get into the grooves, lips and edges of cast iron pans and griddles. They're also perfectly aggressive for shaping wood, though I did burn some maple when shaping but that's likely due to the speed of my grinder and too much pressure. Good value overall.

These discs held up at least twice as long as the normal flap discs I have been using... The rounded edge allowed for greater flexibility in grinding down hard to reach areas. Will definitely continue using and highly recommend.

I really like this disc. I originally ordered it to just clean up surface rust off of metal or strip off a thin coat of paint. But so far I have used this to do both and I even used it to sand a piece of plywood to get some stuff off the surface of it. And it worked very well for all of the things mentioned above. The only issue that I had even though I know it's not intended for wood but there was a lot of moisture in the air that evening and once I got down to the last little section of the plywood it kind of gunked up the sawdust because of the moisture. But all I had to do was grab a wire brush and clean it off and I was right back at it. I will definitely be getting more of those

I had to repair the frame of an old truck and needed to make the 90 deg weld appear to be original steel channel. This rounded edge allowed me to grind out the (deliberately) excess filler metal of the weld and make it smoothly concave. Great idea. Good quality abraisive.

I used these discs to remove stain from the log walls on the outside of our home.I wish I would have ordered them two years ago as this was a three summer project.The curved edges allowed for easy access in between the tight fitting scribed logs and lasted longer than other flapper discs I purchased previously.The price was also excellent per unit compared to earlier purchases.
