Good product. Great instructions. Cheap for a quick fix situation. Not mafe for rainy conditions. You cant just seal it up either. Dry conditions only, i may have missed that in the description. Needed to make an extension cord for camper. Worked fine. Fast, cheap.

Got this set to replace plugs that got over-heated and melted together. Easy to install, works well, fine quality. The plug is slightly too large to fit into the well that the cord retracts back into on the side of my camper. Not the fault of the product, just be aware that it is a little on the bulky side. I’m happy with my purchase.

Do not use crimp on lugs. Follow instructions by splitting each 10ga leads for each of the connectors. A double bite is much stronger.

I've changed out too many RV cord ends to remember. These were as good or better than most that I have seen. Excellent internal cable clamp and nice brass fittings.One word of advice if retrofitting an old cable- it seems the black wire will always corrode internally on an old RV cable. When you strip back the wire insulation for the new plug end, if any of the copper wires are not shiny bright, cut another foot off the entire cable and try again. There have been times I have had to cut almost five feet of cable off to finally find shiny copper wire.Do NOT hook up a copper wire that looks black-ish and crusty in the new plug end! And, don't try a quick swipe with sandpaper to shine the black crusty's back up on the copper- the wire is still corroded internally and will build massive resistance (and heat) when being used.

This is a short term fix for me using existing wire. Difficult to put together. The contacts are loose in their sockets for poor alignment. The contacts have very little spring to them, so will fatigue easily. When assembling, make sure you don't mix up the contacts - one of them is shaped differently to accommodate the cylindrical ground pin. I should have just paid a few bucks more for a new pre-fab cord.
