Admittedly I didn’t watch the instructional video, I just went right into trimming as soon as I opened the package. I kept the blades well oiled and did slow smooth strokes. Since I was taking off a lot of hair at once I went over each area as many times as I needed to get a clean look and avoid visible lines. It took me about 3 hours to transform my 7 hand rugamuffin to a beautiful blonde mini stallion! I had no idea he was blonde under there, so it was quite the dramatic effect! If I look close up to the hair, there are very light streaks of clipper teeth marks, but they are mild and hardly noticeable. I was going to do a touch up session tomorrow, but after checking him over, he doesn’t even need it! I was quite pleased that I didn’t have to pause due to the clippers overheating. I did pause to brush off loose hair and assess how to approach certain areas, but only for about 3 minutes at most. The clippers kept up with me and only had issues cutting if I hit a spot with mud that I missed with the curry comb. I skipped bathing and they still performed beautifully. I’ll never buy a clipper that isn’t made by Wahl, they always deliver!

So glad I bought this clipper! Was looking for an affordable option that would actually work AND not freak my little mini out. This was the first time she’s ever been clipped and she did great. The clippers were quiet and easy to use. They got pretty hot half way through so we just stopped there and called it a day. Pretty happy with the results!

This is a well powered clipper. It is also pretty quiet and reasonably priced. I just wish it included some of the snap on comb guides. Amazon was out of the Wahl clipper for dogs but I read reviews saying people used this model for their dogs. We have a havapoo with thick curly poodle hair and it does work well. We had zero experience with clippers and this is getting the job done. It is taking us a while though, probably due to our lack of experience. We ordered one of the combs and perhaps that will help it go faster in the future.

Wanted to use these clippers for a while before updating my review. First, I’ve used them now for several haircuts for my little dog and they’ve help up exceptionally well. They haven’t dulled or clogged up and have lasted the whole cut without overheating. I’ve been very impressed with these clippers especially for the price point. My dog is very hard to clip due to her dense undercoat. I’ve burned through several cheap people clippers and thought I would try these as a last resort to pricey grooming sheers for dogs. Didn’t want to spend hundreds so got these and am very surprised at their ability to get through her fur. However, I will add the caveat that if I were clipping a large dog with extremely dense fur such as a Husky or German Shepherd (which I’m not sure why you would groom a dog like that anyway), I doubt these clippers would suffice. They’re great for a small dog with an undercoat.

This clipper works well on dogs and cats, is quiet to operate [which helps with uneasy pets], and has plenty of blade guards to select the cut length you want. Pushing the blade clipper off so you can clean the inside is relatively easy, a LOT of clippings accumulate inside that area. Putting the clipper blade back in place is tricky but if you handle it slowly it will work.

These clippers are great to body clip a horse. I clipped my 16.3 hand large warmblood with a medium coat and they worked great. Don’t waste your money on the ‘big $300’ ones these worked just as good and I only went through the 1 blade.

This clipper was working fine and I’m satisfied with it.But after clipping three horses The blade was damaged . It’s work but not clipping any more.Also, you should note that the operating voltage is 115V.

So I got these for the finance about three years ago as a gift to help her with trimming her horse. Yes a horse. I figured they may hold out or maybe just for small areas before they break or give out. I am happily wrong. They are small but she has literally done her whole Horse multiple times and three years later still work great. We had to sharpen the blades and got another pair of blades for this purpose. Her actual horse clippers the big boys broke and instead of replacing them she just keep using these. Amazing product that out performs even clippers designed for horses and it's made for like cats and dogs haha

Great tool works well for dogs and if u have other Wahl attachments they can fit on this so that was convenient as it didn’t come with attachments.

I purchased this for my heavy coated cat with very fine hair. I mostly use this to shave the cats bum lol! This works well for this purpose. I shave the bottom of tail, bum, and back of legs to help cat groom itself better as its a very large(25pnd) cat, and he has no patience for groomers or other paid assistance. The clipper deals well with the very fine hair, as most clippers really don't so I am personally satisfied overall. The clipper while running is not that loud therefore does not frighten cat too bad, but when you turn it on and off it makes a distinct hard click noise that does scare cat pretty bad, I turn it on and then approach cat to avoid this. It is a sturdy and slightly heavy clipper, I anticipate it to last long with regular usage.
